I have the first Distant Worlds and have 200 hours in it. Distant Worlds 2 is a good upgrade. The 3-D ships are cool. The rest is pretty much the same. Very detailed if you want or automated. I sat on fence for long time. Do I want another 4x space game exploration game? It is on deep discount on Instant Gaming, so I took a chance. I do not regret it. I have it mostly automated and I like it. Just making the decisions I want while the game unfolds. I would not pay full price for it, but worth the price on a deep sale.

Do not buy it. I did not get a refund even. Here is what i reviewed on steam:
If you come for a good gameplay experience, achievements or others then this then let me tell you will find some disappointment. Regardless of the quality of the game in graphics the storyline and a few other aspects, the game itself has potential but unfortunately the devs have abandoned the game. They didn't come forward to talk with the users and overall they still did not fix the minor problems that came up in the beginning of the game.

I have 240 hours on record. Still, I havent seen all the content, Im on my 2nd playthrough and Im still finding new things and side quests. The imersion is crazy, I havent expierienced feeling this imersed since RDR2. You can really see the developers care and love the community. Im not very good at downloading mods so the steam workshop compatability is absolutely awesome. As a Czech, I have always loved the medieval era of the hussites and Wenceslav IV. rule. This game is absolutely everything the community wanted. If youre not sure you want to buy the game, let me help you. Buy it.
