Description

In Supreme Commander 2, players will experience brutal battles on a massive scale! Players will wage war by creating enormous customizable armies and experimental war machines that can change the balance of power at any given moment. Take the role of one of the three enigmatic commanders, each representing a unique faction with a rich story that brings a new level of emotional connection to the RTS genre, or fight the battle online. Where do your loyalties lie?
  • A deep and powerful story - element adds a personal, human aspect to a storyline previously focused on warring factions and the politics that fuel them. The single player campaign features three character-driven storylines set 25 years after the events of Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
  • Command enormous armies made up of customizable land, air and naval units. Each of the three diverse factions – The United Earth Federation (UEF), the Cybran Nation and the Illuminate – have been completely redesigned from the original game, with many units.
  • Experimental units - returning with new designs and greatly enhanced looks….and some new tricks that can be unlocked through research
  • New Supreme Commander Gameplay Experience - players now have the ability to research new technologies and units and deploy them instantly on the battlefield, allowing them to upgrade a base-level tank to a high-powered, multi-barreled, AA-sporting monster by the end of a given game.
  • Strategic Mode UI - the redesigned UI that is faster, takes up less screen real-estate and gives better player feedback
  • New rendering technology that allows us to create visually spectacular environments

The story is good, but the strategic potential for spamnation is endless.

I like it because of the units and air/ground/sea mix battles.

Caps needed to be placed on factories, units, turrets, etc..

Only way to force anyone to play strategically and not build up until they have enough to sweep the map.

Then there is artillery and nukes, but there are counters for both.
I love this game, super fun. My favourite aspect is multiplayer. It was easy to learn how to play. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes strategy games. It isn't turn based which I see as a major positive.

Worked perfectly. I recommend this game massively . you can build huge armies and rampage threw your enemies bases leaving nothing but scrap behind.
The only problem with this game is that it has been left behind, no more updates, no sequels. even though the campaign suggests otherwise. I really hope the company do something with this series. other than that its a brilliant game :)
  • SinglePlayer
  • Multiplayer
  • Amazing Story
  • Huge Battles
  • None one is on anymore ;-;
  • Really needs a sequel.
It surely lacks the scale and the approach of its predecessor, but Supreme Commander 2 still is an amazing game, with the nice addition of the tech tree in each faction.

Even if not many, maps have very beautiful design, with some battles taking place over chasms or orbiting space stations. On the plus size, Supreme Commander 2 is able of using multicore CPUs, thing the predecessor was not capable of and lead to huge slowdowns in big games.

Overall this is a great strategic classic, where basebuilding is of the essence.
  • Tech Trees
  • Beautiful Maps
  • Decently optimized for multicore, SC1 was not.
  • Smaller maps than from SC 1
  • Limited number of maps
  • Smaller number of units if compared to SC1
