Description

We Happy Few is the tale of a plucky bunch of moderately terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial in the city of Wellington Wells. In this alternative 1960s England, conformity is key. You’ll have to fight or blend in with the drug-addled inhabitants, most of whom don’t take kindly to people who won’t abide by their not-so-normal rules.

Discover the retrofuturistic city’s dark history as you play through the intertwined narratives of three quietly rebellious citizens of Wellington Wells, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, as they face their pasts, prepare for the future, and engage in activities that aren’t exactly status quo in the artificially enthused society.

Retrofuturistic 1960s England
Set in retrofuturistic 1960s England, you will find a city ravaged by war and rebuilt by delusionally happy people. Everything appears joyful in Wellington Wells, including its roads, its people, and its omnipresent television personality: Uncle Jack! But, it’s actually a world on the brink of collapse. Come unveil its dark history, and discover how and why its residents came to be so beguilingly happy.

Three Interwoven Narratives
Play as three flawed characters who explore their own connections to the events surrounding the rebuilding of Wellington Wells. They each have a unique storyline in which they interpret and react to the events around them in different ways. As you hide, conform, or fight back as each of them, you will encounter dark humour, a spot of hope, and even some redemption along the way.

I didn't recommend too much about We Happy Few cause it's not what I need but this game give me much more time to do when I got freetime and nothing to do

interesting game, I really like it is a open world game, but lacks season pass rewards or something like that, also it needs some new weapons, because game gets kinda boring in the playthrough, all in all not bad

Instant Gaming offers the quickest service and also cheapest one I have seen in the market. I'm very happy with my purchase and also being a instant gaming member. If you're new and hesitating, do not worry, it is a great service.
this game is the best. I played it some time ago and really anjoyed it, I usually don't like survival games but this one is extemely entertaining. The colors and environment change depending on night and day, sometimes it can be scary and give you a lot of adrenaline.

the aspect of having to having to escape and survive a world at the same time from people who cannot accept reality and taking "joy" so that they can ignore everything bad around them and people who have previously taken said joy can no longer take it for long durations non at all

We Happy Few was maybe a mess when it came out but they improved the game by fixing its glitches. I really enjoyed the first character adventure with Arthur and loved the world, setting and lore. However the next two characters were fun and creative but wasn't as enjoyable. Still, I would really recommend it, if you really enjoy the setting and style of the game, because they overshadow the flaws of this game mostly.

We Happy Few is an open world survival, adventure game with a dystopian setting. This game was crowd funded and was very hyped leading up to its launch. So did it live up to it?

So, have you taken your Joy today?
The premise of the game is that Britain gave all of its children to Germany at the end of The World War.
You play as 3 different characters with different playstyles and story arcs. In this world everyone have to take an anti-depressant called Joy.
The game has a beautifully designed dystopian open world that is very Orwellian. There are NPC’s called “Bobbies”(constables) that are there as enforcers. If they think someone isn’t taking their Joy then they go and correct that. Even in a small group they can be difficult to deal with. Even in everyone’s house’s there is this contraption known as a “Down Detector” that can detect if you are not taking your Joy and call the Bobbies on you.

Hey! You there, why are you running?!
In most games the NPCs will turn a blind eye to the fact that you are carrying a weapon and behaving oddly, but not in We Happy Few. Here, if you are running without reason in the city then the Bobbies will be after you. If you are walking around with a weapon then you better make sure no one spots you, unless you want to face the Bobbies again.

Open up! I want my Blackberry Joy!

You play as 3 characters, Arthur, Sally and Ollie. Once you finish one character’s arc and are about to move onto the next you will be notified, as you will not be able to go back and play as the previous character.
Each one of them has a different story and playstyle.
For example, Sally(my favorite of the 3), is a chemist who has to stick to a schedule because the constables want her “Blackberry Joy” on a regular basis at a specific time, so you better make sure that you are ready with it on the dot.
This is something you have to do in between everything else.
The game also has a skill system and the skills offered are very apt to your situation, for example one of the perks lets you run without arousing suspicion. This is extremely useful as playing without this throughout the entire game may feel tedious as the mechanism of acting a character may get boring towards the end of the game, but this will let you be a bit more free.
The game looks beautiful as well throughout the most parts with only some instances of texture issues.

What will the Down Detector say about this game?
What about the negatives? Well, right now there are few negatives. There are few bugs, but nothing major that would ruin your experience with the game.

Will I need to take some Joy to playthrough the game?
To sum it up, this game is one with lots of potential and ambition but sadly bugs ruin the perfect picture. If you love the idea of the game then you probably won’t regret getting.

Ich finde es ist ein Super spiel hat mich an vielen stellen gepackt und hat echt spaß gemacht dauernd zu zocken und bin kaum von dem Spiel los, es gab viele spannende momente die mich richtig gefesselt haben und wo ich sehr emotional war gab natürlich viele lustige stellen in kombination mit bestimmten sachen die zu ultra lustigen momenten geführt haben, ich würde es mir immer wieder kaufen eindeutig super Spiel !
