Tropico 4 is an excellent management / Nation builder game. The game is set on a paradise island, you play "El Commandante" a Gentle or Evil dictator : the choice is yours!

The gameplay is classical, you manage different aspects : food, natural ressources, politic (inside / outside), economic, ecologic etc etc . The game set a funny tone, all the characters are stereotype and have funny dialog. I really enjoy the fact that you evolve through time (if you have the DLC modern times). There is a lot of things to explain about the game so I make it quick : it's really a complete (if you have all the dlc) and funny game, the only thing that misses is building tunnels and bridges (that feature is available in Tropico 6). You will stay on that game for hours if you like that kind of game!

The soundtracks is awesome and really fit and feed the global atmosphere!

Technically the game is great at maximum settings, even nowdays.

Here is how it runs on a Ryzen 2700 and a GTX 1660 Ti : https://youtu.be/G8lXWvUYw3o

If you love management/nation builder games, Tropico is one of those games you need to have!
  • Graphic
  • Funny characters
  • Excellent management system
  • Well optimised
  • You start a game you stay for hours!
  • You need all the dlc
