Description

Watch Dogs 2 for PC is the sequel to the first game, and will benefit from a third edition in the near future. It is a third person perspective, action adventure game that is set in an open world setting.

About the Game

You play as Marcus Holloway, a rebel working to foil the cities authorities attempts to control the population using high-tech surveillance equipment. Marcus Holloway is a member of a hacktivist gang, one of their best, and it is his job to complete missions, bringing supporters to the gang, known as DedSec.

The writers of the game wanted to incorporate a blurring of the lines between reality and fiction, and consulted with real hacktivists, semi-fictionalised some real life computer shenanigans, and devoted long hours to making the world inside the game feel authentic to the players – with a good deal of success in achieving this aim.

Marcus must travel around the area, a fictionalised version of the San Francisco Bay Area, using any of the vehicles that he comes across, which include motorbikes, vans, cars, trucks, quad bikes and even boats. He has excellent manoeuvrability and can even use parkour to overcome objects and climb walls while travelling on foot.

Single Player, Multiplayer and Co-op Play

While the core story arc deals with the player controlling Marcus Holloway alone as he navigates through the city, battling, hacking and sneaking about, there are also several fun and exciting multiplayer and co-operative play modes to explore too.

With co-op play, you can meet up with fellow gamers’ avatars and make a loose team, heading off to explore the open world, complete missions and gain followers for DedSec.

In multiplayer, you have a choice of various sub-games in which you can play one on one, alternately attacking other player’s to hack them, or defending your hack against others, two on two showdowns, where you and a partner battle it out with the opposing team to complete missions such as acquiring hard drives and so on. There are also several four on four missions that add excitement to the gameplay as you battle your opposition to lead the winning team to victory!

Three Ways to Battle

  • Aggression: As it sounds, you use brute force, weapons and grenades to strong arm your way into buildings, aiming to complete your missions before an NPC (non-playing character) can summon the police who will try to arrest or detain you. You can shoot guns that are created on a 3D printer, plant explosives, or even use your own personal favourite, a jury-rigged billiard ball on a piece of bungee elastic

  • Stealth: Instead of engaging and being loud and destructive, creep into buildings silently, place bugs and silently lift the data you need directly from servers and opposition premises. If you cannot avoid enemies altogether, you can always stun them with a swift blast from your taser, leaving them incapacitated while you ninja in, do your thing, and leave again

  • Hacking: By far the most fun way to play, Marcus can do it all without leaving home. Sophisticated hacking puts Marcus in control of enemy cars, junction boxes and more – anything that can be connected to a network can be hacked from Marcus’s mobile phone or other devices. He is helped with a remote control quadcopter drone and a RC car that he can use to hack, plant explosives and virtually explore areas that could be dangerous

  • Watch Dogs 2 for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

Watch Dogs 2 Deluxe Edition offers a vibrant, open-world experience set in a meticulously recreated San Francisco. This sequel to the original Watch Dogs takes a lighter, more playful tone, focusing on the adventures of Marcus Holloway, a young hacker with a mission to dismantle the corrupt ctOS 2.0 system.

The game's open-world design is impressive, with a diverse cityscape that includes bustling urban centers, serene parks, and picturesque coastal areas. The attention to detail is commendable, making the city feel alive and dynamic. Players can engage in various side activities, from drone racing to graffiti tagging, adding depth to the gameplay experience.

Hacking remains the core mechanic, offering a wide range of possibilities. Marcus's abilities allow players to control cars, manipulate traffic lights, and hack into security systems, providing creative approaches to missions. The seamless integration of hacking into both stealth and combat scenarios keeps the gameplay fresh and engaging.

The story is compelling, featuring a cast of quirky, memorable characters who add charm and humor to the narrative. The main plot addresses themes of surveillance, privacy, and corporate corruption, resonating well with contemporary issues. Side missions and character interactions enrich the storyline, making the world feel interconnected and immersive.

Multiplayer modes in Watch Dogs 2 are another highlight, blending seamlessly with the single-player experience. Co-op missions and PvP modes add a competitive edge, while the Bounty Hunter mode introduces unpredictable challenges as players can become the hunter or the hunted.

The Deluxe Edition includes additional content that enhances the overall experience. Exclusive missions, unique outfits, and new vehicles provide extra value, making it a worthwhile investment for fans of the series.

However, the game is not without its flaws. Occasionally, the AI can be inconsistent, leading to unpredictable enemy behavior. Some technical glitches, while not game-breaking, can detract from the immersion.

In conclusion, Watch Dogs 2 Deluxe Edition is a robust and enjoyable title that builds upon its predecessor's foundation. Its lively open world, innovative hacking mechanics, and engaging narrative make it a standout in the action-adventure genre. Despite minor issues, it delivers a rich, entertaining experience that keeps players hooked. If you're a fan of open-world games with a modern twist, Watch Dogs 2 Deluxe Edition is a must-play.
Awesome game and the key worked perfectly. The story is kinda goofy but still fun and engaging, the stealth mechanics are pretty awesome, and melee isn't bad either. The hacking features are cool, but I still have yet to unlock all the cool ones like framing npcs as criminals or gang traitors, and you get to watch them either be taken out by a gang or arrested by the LAPD. Speaking of which the cops are pretty good in this game. The open world is pretty awesome as well. Not as big as the GTA 5 map and definitely not as big as the RDR2 map, but it's still more than enough for what you can do in this game. As for language, lots of cursing isn't really my thing, but since it's culturally accurate that'll be my excuse. There are quite a few f-bombs, and by quite a few I mean thousands, but that's likely not much of a concern if you're already considering this game. The civilians are thankfully much more peaceful than GTA ones, but they can still get irritated. Overall the gameplay is fun and intuitive, graphics are still pretty impressive, and the story is fun despite being pretty cheesy at times. Definitely recommend this game, especially if you like games like RDR2 or GTA 5, just don't expect the same level of extra detail that Rockstar likes to pack into their games. In my opinion Ubisoft nailed it with this one.
    • Good fun story
    • Awesome open-world
    • Beautiful graphics (for a 2016 game at least)
    • Cheesy at times
    • Can't knock people over unless you punch 'em
    • Plentiful cursing
One of the best games I have ever played. The story is amazing and the graphics are just insanely beautiful. The fact that the game is based around the bay area is awesome aswell. Anyone who is looking for a game just to cruise around and relax should also look into watch dogs
After playing the game for a bit, I am able to say, Watch Dogs 2 is a fun game, it is far from realistic, but it's interesting and catchy. You can really live in to the game with a pretty interesting storry line.
    • The storry is interesting and fun
    • Lack of realism
    • Lack of help in free roam
Great game still in 2022. incredibly fun to play with friend's. Great DLC and story missions also very great multiplayer experience, would recommend still. In my taste not as good as the new ones but still incredible.
ISuper fun game! Massive props to Ubisoft for actually making a really great game.

It really gives you different ways of playing the game, sneaky, guns blazing, just using your techs etc.

A lot of different content aside the main and side missions. Haven't noticed any bugs or glitches which is great!
    • Its cheap
    • it cots more for germany
Not the best in the franchise but Watch Dogs 2 is probably the most fun game between them all. With one of the best vigilante groups of all games there are Watch Dogs 2 will make it wort your while and you will have so much fun playing it.
Very fun game, had a lot of fun sneaking around and begin stealthy with all of Marcus' gadgets. Story is good when not compared to WD1's. One downside to it is that the optimization is absolutely horrible at least for my AMD card.
    • Good story
A fantastic game, I love the concept and the gameplay type of it. I love the hipster/Hackers vibe of it, There are few bugs here and there and i have only encountered one bug that ruined my experience. Other than that this is an almost perfect game that i dont mind finishing it twice
    • Better story than the previous installment.
    • few bugs
Story is awesome, graphics is so good, multiplayer could be better, gameplay is excellent, but the servers are shut down.It would be better with more cars and guns (only two guns to choose). Good job Ubisoft!

Watch_Dogs 2 is a very good game. It is easy (at the beginning) and gets harder and harder. You have to think about the solutions of the quests, because it's not the obvious solution. And the story is very interesting...

It is a very good game. It has a big map and lots of things to do. I would recommend this game if you want to play alone. The multiplayer feature of this game is bad. I wanted to play this with a friend but i could not join.

Loved it! I think that the main story is solid but after it there's not that much to do actually.
I think overall the game looks good and plays well. Except for some minor bugs obvs.
    Now i'm waiting for leagion.
    • Game is spectacular
    • some bugs obvs
    • Gutes Spiel
    • Kann langweilig weden
Felt brilliant at first, but dissapointed at the end. Nice game to play, but the side missions were useless and I never completed a single one of them. This game is still ok and beats the first wd easily.
    • Better than the first
    • ok gameplay
    • creative gameplay
    • improved from wd1
    • graphics
    • useless side missions
    • gets boring
    • story is a little bland
    • short story
Pretty solid 70/100 its pretty much like its predecessor but it has a lot more stuff to do.
You should buy this if you like watch dogs 1 and open map games. Stunning graphics and smooth experience with GTX 1060.
    • Great graphics
    • more stuff to do
    • i love open world games
    • Pretty short story
    • idk

Nice game, really enjoyed to play. I think the map and the story was a little bit small, but over all it's a very fun game to play. For the ones who love Grand Theft Auto and like hacking will love this game for sure
    • Good story
    • Nice minigames
    • Lot of stuff to do in freeroam
    • First Person in a car is blury, you don't have the detail of the interior of the car
    • Map kinda small
    • Car damages aren't that realistic compared with GTA V
Well, this is everything what Watch Dogs 1 supposed to be. Ubisoft surprised me 100% positively with WD2. It's beautiful, it's fun, it gives player enough challenge with Realistic difficulty level. Beating up missions without even taking any contacts to enemies is pure fun now! Go and buy it, if you haven't done it already.
    • Fun
    • Beautiful
    • San Francisco
    • DedSec
    • It's everything that WD1 supposed to be.
    Macht spaß vieles neues dabei.

Aber man muss auch sagen das echt recht schnell langweilig werden kann. Aber die Story is auf jedens falls Spielenswert.

Ich würde es mir auf jeden fall nochmal kaufen :)
Super fun game! Massive props to Ubisoft for actually making a really great game.
It really gives you different ways of playing the game, sneaky, guns blazing, just using your techs etc.
A lot of different content aside the main and side missions. Haven't noticed any bugs or glitches which is great!
    • super fun
    • many ways of playing the missions
    • many side quests
    • variety of playthrough
    • a vast amount of clothing and vehicles
    • The ending was kind of a let down
    • Lack of sound settings, just has an overall audio setting.
good game but it is not great game online springamathingies springs some intrest but not so much i dont like driving mechanics not too real feel and graphics not too good they are ok but i like story quite bit buy it "only" 25 + hour game for me max 35
Great game, good graphics, great open world, great characters, and a lot of stuff to do. Handling of vehicles has improved a lot and is much better than in Watch Dogs 1! Hacking is also more fun, you have more options now.
    • Good vehicle handling
