Description

Civilization VI for PC is a 4X, turn based, empire-building game. 4X stands for eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate, and this is a reasonable summary of what the player needs to do in order to take the civilisation from small village to superpower.

About the Game

Build civilisation from tiny village or settlement all the way up to political juggernaut – basically a digital boardgame in which you have to build your empire from scratch into a leader on the world’s stage through trade, deals, battles and much more.

The terrain affects your successes, with forest, desert and tundra all having their own advantages and disadvantages to the player, so you will need to adapt your game play to get the best out of the area in which you are playing.

New Details

You can now spread your city around a bit – previously all improvements to a city were stacked into the hex block on which the city was built.

Gives more scope for expansion and gives the player more freedom in the layout of their city

The new ‘unstacked’ way allows for cities to be better laid out, and players can earn bonuses for placing appropriate buildings in the right place – for example placing barracks near a training ground is a sensible decision, and is rewarded in the game

This is not to say that you can no longer stack items, but it is now somewhat limited and stacking can only happen with similar types of construction

The menus are displayed as ‘trees’ and there are trees for many aspects of the game, from Technology to Culture. The latter is new, and allows players to more easily win a game played from a cultural slant – something that was quite tricky in the original incarnation.

Ways to Play

The game rewards players for sensible decisions – building a marina, for example, in the middle of dry land will result in few resources being made available, whereas building it by the water will ensure a steady flow of resources coming your way. There is really only one way to play: you against the game, but here are some tips that will help you if you are just getting started:

  • Planning ahead is key

  • As mentioned above, you will need to consider every move carefully, in every aspect of the game. From where you are going to place a theatre today to leaving enough virgin countryside for a National Park some time far in the future, you have to think about everything!

  • Barbarians are smart

  • Do not think that because you caught just one glimpse of a barbarian who then vanished that your city is safe, especially in the early days of construction. Often, they are scouts, assessing whether your city is attackable, and will return before you know it with a horde all set to destroy your careful creation!

  • Traders generate roads

  • Use this useful feature to get your infrastructure in place by spreading your traders far and wide. Doing this will ensure that your civilisation benefits from a wide network of roads with very little other effort from you.

  • Read the tech and civic trees carefully

  • These can offer you invaluable advice and can even offer warnings if you learn to read them thoroughly, putting their tips into good practice to build a magnificent civilisation.

    Endgame

Strategy is the key to succeeding at this game, and you must always be thinking three or four steps ahead of the game at every stage. Filling up the best tiles too soon can leave you short of assets at a later time, so you must plan out your city as carefully as possible, leaving enough space to expand into when necessary.

Civilization VI for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

Every game in the legendary, 25-year-old Sid Meier’s Civilization 4X strategy series puts a new spin on the grand concept of taking a nation from a single nomadic tribe to a world-dominating superpower, one turn at a time. In that way Civilization VI looks familiar, but it’s loaded with some very smart and bold improvements that give it new levels of depth. Once I get absorbed into a campaign it becomes so engrossing it’s difficult to think about anything else.

Under its colorful, cartography-inspired art style and varied, stirring music that swells to accent what you’re doing and in what era you’re doing it, Civilization VI is crammed with an almost overwhelming number of systems. It’s got trade, it’s got religion, it’s got espionage, it’s got Great People, it’s got archeology, it’s got the kitchen sink. For the most part, that’s awesome because there are so many chances to build out your nation in different ways to take advantage of opportunities on its randomly generated maps and pursue the different victory types, and it’s all baked in at the ground level so that things like trade routes don’t feel tacked on and optional (they are, in fact, the only way to build roads in the early game). This feels like a Civ game that’s already had two expansions.

Amazing game, super fun to play alone or with friends.

Does not require a beast of a PC but of course the faster your PC the faster the AI will make their turns so it makes the game smotther

If you have the chance the full game with all the expansion i would totally recommend since it adds a lot of content but the game alone is already a lot of fun
    • Fun to learn
    • Amazing multiplayer experience
    • A little complex for beginners
I am happy to finally be able to play this game and the best part is that I can play at such a cheap price. I had no issues whatsoever with payment and installment which made me very happy as this was my first purchase using this website.
    • Fun and addicting game
    • Easy and cheap to play
Just buy Civilization 5 its better in every way and its cheaper.

This Game introduced way too much Micromanaging BS that its no fun anymore.

It also change the beautiful Civilization 5 graphics to this ugly cartoon style
    • Schlechtere Grafik als Civilization V
    • Kostet mehr als Civilization V
    • Macht kein Spaß
extremely complex but really fun. I played 72 hours already since I bought it, 4 days ago :) There are so many variations to choose from that it is impossible to get bored as you will always be on your toes each game.
    • complex
    • high variancy
Still pretty good even today. Even though it's more with friends and mods. Last CIV I played was 4 or 5. If you into it feel free to buy dlcs.

They are mostly on sales lately.

Game can me buggy sometimes, which game isn't anyway. In short, it's worth it.
    • Fun with friends or solo
    • Acceptable modding community
    • Can drag you right in
    • None
Best game I ever played. It's fun, it's competitive, it's beautiful. The only con is that tutorial is bad. I had to learn by reading and watching youtube. But was really worth it. The game is difficult, there are many things to know if you want to be good at it, but I always felt the motivation to learn because the game is rewarding.
    • Fun
    • Intelligent
    • Satisfaction
    • Tutorial
The last Civ I played was the 4 and thisone has some better things, but also some worse. I like thatyou can still understand how to play the game without going in too many tutorials, but still I don't have the same feeling I had with the 4.
I love this game! Realy engaging, I can't get bored while playing this game. I always wanted to find a game like this, I wish I would found this earlier. Everything I wanted to try its possible now thanks to this game.
Quick Service, Instant Delivery, No Issues. This game is very well made but games can last a very long time, I have played the same match for 15 hours. Be aware when buying make sure you have spare time

They added so much this time. Considering that you have bought the big DLC's then you have a lot coming for. The best one is the Gathering Storm, which makes the empire management more realistically in terms of building dams, etc. It also has nature disasters so you will need to settle new cities more carefully or prepare your workers for the worst. I definitely recommend you check that one out.

They also added districts of cities. Each one of those districts takes one tile and their purpose can be different - science, military, culture, you know what I'm talking about. I think the military one is quite a bit too strong since its health and defense is over the top. Wonders also take one tile of space, which I'm not a big fan of. I liked it more when I could see the wonders placed inside of my city.

One the most annoying parts of this game is the change they made on workers. Workers can no longer build things infinitely, their standard builds are limited to 3 (depends on your policies, etc.). On the other hand they can build things instantly so no more waiting.

The graphics look less realistically, it looks like a cartoon. This of course depends on your taste. I personally think it looks okay and unique in its way.
    • A lot of playtime and replaybility
    • Mods, dlc's, etc.
    • A few campaign modes
    • I checked that spy thing that this game had and it seems like it's has been already removed.
The best of the series (along with Civ IV). The Civilization 'one more turn' syndrome, that takes up whole days and nights goes on in this one also. Rise & Fall expansion also brings some new exciting rules to the game. Be careful! Highly addictive.
    • Highly addictive
    • Nice music
    • Great gameplay balance
DLC is a bit much, a lot of cool stuff locked behind a paywall, but other than that very unique idea and a lot of fun to play alone and with friends. Has replay value too, different maps, scenarios and civs to choose from, offering a slightly different game each time
    • Good Graphics
    • Fun Concept
    • A lot of replay value
    • Smooth Gameplay
    • A lot of DLC
Jeux super sympa service rapide et professionnelle, clé fonctionnelle, prix attractif, j'ai acheté ce jeu à beaucoup de mes amis et a chaque fois l'amusement est présent et l'achat est très simplifié Great Job
awesome game, its so funny to play with your friends but you need time to play :D
in the beginning its a bit chaos but you will love it
if play again and again, its easier to play
    best game i have played
    • great game
    • it looks good
    • smooth gameplay
    • play with friends
    • need time to play ^^

Best strategy game! It requires very tactful and thoughtful gameplay. Great historical game that is better in graphics, economics and combat than part 5. It's not comparable to total war, but diplomacy in civ 6 is much better than total war. A tireless game! I can only recommend it to everyone!
    • nice graphics
    • Best of strategy game!
    • A tireless game!
    • Many civilizations with unique units
The game is like the previous one but better! It has voice acting, better animations and the modding community is already at work doing their best! I recommend the game if you liked the previous one!!
    • Many characters
    • Smooth Gameplay
    • Almost no problems
    • Amazing DLCs for the base game
    • Multiplayer and Local Play
    • No problems in my opinion
This game is all about thinking and not stressing about anything because you can play against AI and control legit everything that is in the game. The more DLC's you get more options you have to play and play against someone. Just awesome game, thanks for it.
    • All
love the game. Only bad thing is looong a** start up loading. smooth game play and lot of time wasted for greater good. Still one of my favorites i find my self coming back to it time and time againt 4/5 recommend
    • it is a game
    • time waster
    • start up loading
Loved since CIV 1. Civ II and III were crap, but since then, loved every second. Will continue to be a fanboy to hell and back, though I would expect proper multiplaying options appear soon enough. I wish.
    • civ
One of the greatest game I've ever played with my friends. It can sometimes get a bit long to play though, however it's an easy game to play. There isn't just one way to play it and taht's what great about the game.
    • Good mechanics
    • Easy to learn
    • Sometimes too long
    • Sometimes not balanced
Brain-dead AI, unappealing visuals, bad interface and non-functional dimplomacy. Classical hype train milking the former, long gone glory of a famous franchise. One would expect that people will eventually learn, but no, I am watching Steam reviews turning from the original non-critical Yay! of the chronic fanboi to sobering desillusion. It's kinda sad.
Increible llevo ya mas de 40 horas jugadas y me sigue pareciendo una pasada. El mejor juego de estrategia por turnos que he jugado en mi vida. También se ve que el dlc que añadirán pronto dara mucha mas horas de juego. :3
Quality! But slow paced aswell. Looks like a new game with the greatness of the old one, but sadly the game pace itself isn't very quick which is quite annoying. Also the workers "builders" are awfull so just 80% for this one.
