Description

From the art director of Journey and Flower, ABZÛ is a beautiful underwater adventure that evokes the dream of diving.

Immerse yourself in a vibrant ocean world full of mystery and bursting with color and life. Perform fluid acrobatics as the Diver using graceful swimming controls. Discover hundreds of unique species based on real creatures and form a powerful connection with the abundant sea life.

Interact with schools of thousands of fish that procedurally respond to you, each other, and predators. Linger in epic seascapes and explore aquatic ecosystems modeled with unprecedented detail.

Descend into the heart of the ocean where ancient secrets lie forgotten. But beware, dangers lurk in the depths. "ABZÛ" is from the oldest mythologies; AB, meaning water, and ZÛ, meaning to know. ABZÛ is the ocean of wisdom.

Get this Game!

Relaxing game, no words but the story telling is VERY good, intriguing and meaningful.

Gameplay is fun, swimming looks and feels great. The fish are the real star of the show and even if you don't normally like fish (like me) you'll find them interesting after playing this game.

Beautiful, relaxing game.
If you like indie games and exploration, you have to give it a try.
Kinda looks like Journey.
Difficulty is pretty low, this game is more like a walking simulator.
It's pretty short, about 2 hours.
  • beautiful graphics
  • great soundtrack
  • a bit short

Created by Giant Squid (a studio founded by Matt Nava, art director of Journey), Abzû unfortunately feels like it's ironically missing... a game director. Abzû is more like an early and lesser prototype of Journey; it looks like Journey, it sounds like Journey, but it never reaches the emotional and narrative heights of Journey. Abzû tries hard to mimic Journey without quite understanding what made Journey a masterpiece. It's often gorgeous but empty, meaningless. Even the music by Austin Wintory is seemingly made of leftovers from Journey... For all his talents and qualities, Matt Nava is not yet Jenova Chen (the acclaimed director of Journey, Cloud and Flower). But I sure hope his next project will gain in maturity.

Perfect relax guys. If you are not afraid of water and like fish, this is perfect. You can ride on some fish, you mainly explore. Even tho it's really nice and calming it is pretty short, but you can play it anytime again and it will never be the same : )

Beautiful, yet boring...

Shame because this game does look really nice on 1440p. I spent a couple of hours just swimming around, following the path that was set, it's on rails with some exploration.
  • Beautiful game
  • Runs well
  • Really nice soundtrack
  • Doesn't seem to have much of a story, if any.

It was an amazing game, honestly - great soundtrack, amazing graphics and an insanely good atmosphere. It was just a bit short for my taste, but still very nice and worth the money. Similar to journey in a lot of aspects, so if you enjoyed that one, you will definitely enjoy ABZU
