Set several years after the end of Risen, raging titans have devastated the world and pushed humanity to the brink of existence. Subsequently, monstrous creatures have risen from the watery depths of the sea and their attacks have brought all seafaring to a grinding halt. The hero, now a member of the Inquisition, is sent out to find out how to stop the chaos caused by these creatures from the deep. With an all-new pirate-based theme, Risen 2: Dark Waters aims to combine the most loved classic RPG gameplay mechanics of the original Risen with a fresh theme and setting on a huge variety of themed island locales. A third-person role-playing game set in a dark and gritty universe, Risen 2: Dark Waters maintains the most immersive features of the original Risen, with multiple approaches to every challenge allowing players to shape the game world based on their own decisions. These choices will serve to unlock new paths, features and additional skills for the character. Together with a highly interactive environment and a full day/night-cycle affecting countless aspects of the game world, Risen 2 will be set in the most immersive RPG game world so far.

Finally completed after years of not giving a chance (took me 20 hrs), find few bugs but this is best of this series and call me mad but I choose this over assassin's creed black flag anyday. Overall is strong 7/10 I reccomend ELEX 1 from this developer just dont go with ELEX II it's a total mess it shouldn't even be realesed.

The game was fun, but not right away. It took a while to get into the pirate mood, which was well done by the developers. The start was slow, the difficulty was high, and I died a lot. Then I got to Takarigua and started farming. I became a thief and a charmer, and I liked it. I looted everything, and betrayed everyone. I was a nasty rat. I couldn’t level up all the skills, because I had to choose a side. The only task I failed was hitting flying coconuts. The game had a good story, nice graphics, realistic weather, beautiful sunsets, and a lively world. I loved the pirate adventure. The flaws were minor: bad combat, no swimming, and game over after the Temple of Water. The achievements were bugged too. But it was still a great game. 8/10 monkeys.
