Description

Indebted to the wrong people, with his life on the line, veteran of the U.S. Cavalry and now hired gun, Booker DeWitt has only one opportunity to wipe his slate clean. He must rescue Elizabeth, a mysterious girl imprisoned since childhood and locked up in the flying city of Columbia. Forced to trust one another, Booker and Elizabeth form a powerful bond during their daring escape. Together, they learn to harness an expanding arsenal of weapons and abilities, as they fight on zeppelins in the clouds, along high-speed Sky-Lines, and down in the streets of Columbia, all while surviving the threats of the air-city and uncovering its dark secret.

Key Features

  • The City in the Sky – Leave the depths of Rapture to soar among the clouds of Columbia. A technological marvel, the flying city is a beautiful and vibrant world that holds a very dark secret.
  • Unlikely Mission – Set in 1912, hired gun Booker DeWitt must rescue a mysterious girl from the sky-city of Columbia or never leave it alive.
  • Whip, Zip, and Kill – Turn the city’s Sky-Lines into weaponized roller coasters as you zip through the flying city and dish out fatal hands-on punishment.
  • Tear Through Time – Open Tears in time and space to shape the battlefield and turn the tide in combat by pulling weapons, turrets, and other resources out of thin air.
  • Vigorous Powers – Throw explosive fireballs, shoot lightning, and release murders of crows as devastatingly powerful Vigors surge through your body to be unleashed against all that oppose you.
  • Custom Combat Experience – With deadly weapons in one hand, powerful Vigors in the other, and the ability to open Tears in time and space, fight your own way through the floating city of Columbia to rescue Elizabeth and reach freedom.
  • 1999 Mode – Upon finishing BioShock Infinite, the player can unlock a game mode called “1999 Mode” that gives experienced players a taste of the kind of design and balance that hardcore gamers enjoyed back in the 20th century.

Honestly, this is the best game I've ever played.

Stunning colors and an amazing story.

It has a sort of Tomb-raider-inspired gameplay (interactive environment instead of many cutscenes).

Innovative FPS mechanisms.

All in all, I highly recommend this game!
Great game, different enough from Bioshock 1 and 2 not to be repeating itself, and DLC's are great also. I highly recommend this product, you will enjoy great artwork, and really good story plus weapons upgrades, and very well made enemies.
Bioshock Infinite is a visionary piece of entertainment where the gameplay, characters, art style and story all come together to make what undoubtedly will be considered one of the best games of this generation.

Bioshock is still on top of its game!! The 1, 2 & 3 are all as good, you have an amazing time for all of them!
This time, you won't go to Rapture, the under sea city, but to Columbia!
I loved very much the 50' style of Rapture on the 1 & 2, and here, they made a steam-punk kind of world which is incredible!
The scenario is the real highlight of the game, it will take your breath away
  • Crazy scenario
  • Lovely graphics
  • Great weapons
  • Too short, only 9-12h while you wish it would last forever!
the game is really good and should be played without any knowledge of it's story (I won't spoil it for you, but it is a really good one). the artistic directions are stunning and inspiring, and the voice acting is fitting and emotional.

the gameplay though.. feels very mediocre. enemies are bulletsponges and take way too many hits, levels feels either very restricting (which isn't cool) or feature these huge ziplines (which are cool). you have a small variety of powers and weapons, but ultimately you mostly stick to your favorites except for certain encounters, where a specific power is necessary/ recommended. there are a handful of sections, where no combat is possible due to the story. here is where exploring becomes more fun, since these parts have many little rewards or neat findings.
  • very good story

Great game, great visuals and graphics, cool characters and story.Ties nice with the original, greap gunplay and mechanics. The ending is a little confusing so probably you should watch some youtube videos about it

One of the best games I have ever played, do yourself a favor and buy this, you will be mesmerized by the story and the setting of the game. Also play the trilogy of Bioshock, you will have a blast discovering Rapture and Columbia.
  • Solid base for a game
  • Last Boss is a joke
I was waiting for more, knowing Bioshock from the past... This story is too short for me, and I have beated this game in less than three days. Bioshock 1 and 2 are better than this one. I love Rapture

Best Bioshock so far! Bought it here to play it a second time. The linear shooting can get repetetive after a while but the magic skills and clever level design make up for it.

Would recomend this game 10/10

Being a Bioshock game there's more to this than just 'shoot the bad guy' - a story enveloping philosphy and metaphysics ensures you will be as confused as enlightened by the end of it all.

As Booker DeWitt your job is to bring down arch nemesis Comstock aided by Elizabeth, using conventional weapons along with vigours fueled by blue bottles. The latter are 'psycho powers' and vary in style from being able to possess your foe to plain electrocuting them.

The character acting overall is top class, as are the creative scenery and graphics, and while it's old tech Unreal Engine 3, it's still impressive.

The gameplay itself is good - it's not an easy game, and you will die a lot, but it's a first person shooter with a twist and worth your time.

The one flaw is the aforementioned plot - it's bewildering, and if you understand the ending you're doing well.

But overall, worth current price.
