Pretty fun game to play

The game itself it's butifaul to look at. love the cinematics and the you can build your own army.

i used myself a lot of hours after i bought it to complete the game and story line.

and i have almost completed the hole game

  • Cool Story Line
  • Nice graphics
  • Love the gameplay
  • would love a bit longer story line
Fun game, I enjoy building armies and this game had that for me. Not to mention, all the combos and different ways you can possibly do stuff. Collecting different armor cases and leveling them up to max and just unlocking all the movesets to provide for your own kind of gameplay.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War - Definitive Edition is an epic action RPG set in Tolkien’s world, offering an intense blend of open-world exploration, dynamic combat, and the brilliant Nemesis System. This edition includes all DLC, making it the ultimate package for fans who want to immerse themselves in the battle against Sauron.

The game’s standout feature, the Nemesis System, creates personal rivalries with orc captains who evolve based on your actions. You can also recruit orcs, build an army, and siege fortresses, adding strategic depth. The combat is fast-paced, with Talion’s brutal melee moves and Celebrimbor’s supernatural powers combining for satisfying, fluid battles.

The expansive world of Mordor is rich with diverse regions to explore, each packed with lore and side missions. Visually stunning, the game’s environments, orc designs, and cinematic sequences all capture the gritty beauty of Middle-earth.

With its engaging story, dynamic enemies, and addictive gameplay, Shadow of War - Definitive Edition delivers an unforgettable experience, offering hours of strategic, action-packed fun for fans of Tolkien and RPGs alike.
Beautiful world and accurate LOTR representation
Thank you work key good super!
  • Very good
  • All dlc
was trying to see if it legit which it is Noice!
very well done product!
For all the flag this got when it came out, I have played it a lot. There is nothing better than attacking a Fort with an army of orcs, not quite strong enough to take the it, they only take it because of your sweat and hard work......and because you call in a dragon.
  • Flying on dragons
  • Killing and dominating hoards of orcs
  • DLC prices
I need to note, that I did not play it on release, due really bad reviews and criticism. But when I found out they fixed it and removed real money monetization, I decided to finely give it a go.

Soo, yeah, totally fun game. A bit monotones at times due farming orcs or gear( RNG ), but process is quite challenging, which is good( Helps to be engaged and not bored ). Story isn`t a revelations of sort if anything, but it does have its own moments, sadly it was rather short. Damn, I love nemesis system now.

Should you buy it? Welp, kinda yes? If you see discount, then totally yes.
An absolutely amazing game, great story, great gameplay mechanics.

Bought the game 3 days ago and already finished Talion's and Eltariel's stories, both were good in my opinion and I've played Baranor's story for about 2-4 hours and it also feels insanely good.

Would recommend this game for you lot.
TOTALLY WORTH IT. Platinum easily achievable. Love the combat and the different abilities. The story is good. No bugs or crashing issues. Runs well on a bummy pc. The endgame is repetitive but still somewhat entertaining. The different armour/weapons are VERY NICE (the endgame ones are top tier).
  • Love the combat
  • The game is repetitive (still entertaining tho)
It's basically Shadow of Mordor 2 so if you have to choose one I'd choose this one.

The core mechanics is left intact and basically everything around it is better:

- Bigger world

- Better looking worlds

- Better combat diversity, more choices

- Better graphics

- Better enemies diversity and difficulty

I really loved finishing the entire game twice!

Also the DLC are cool and have their own gameplay!

The game is really good even for today the graphics are good.

I really hope a third game will release some day and even better, with co-op, that would be perfect.
  • The combat system and diversity
  • The nemesis system and the diversity of enemies
  • The story and the world
This game is great I like the gameplay a lot , I`ll try the story after .10/10 , not a video game journalist review .

This game is totally worth playing in 2022 , also the definitive version is only 4.23 euros so why not .
  • Cool Combat
  • Funny Bosses (except the story ones )
  • Stabby Stabby also executions are unique and there are multitude of ways to kill those Bosses
  • not the best story
  • non-canon
Got the key instantly and it worked. Game itself doesn't seem to have any issues. All the dlcs are included and run well. It's a good upgrade from the previous Shadow of Mordor game that I also really liked.
  • quick
  • good value

  • Nemesis system
  • Big open world

The game itself is pretty awesome, its a must for every LoTR fan,and not getting bored after 127hours ingame :"D ,geting really interesting and tough nemesis' and im only at 53% main game progress..what will come? i wonder.

ill just recomend it for everyone.

Very good game, good story expecially if you like Lord of the Ring and nice perks.
Its reminds me Skyrim for the ambience and Arkham Batmans for the character movement and combat systems, great feature the chance to hold a Town/fort and defend it against the orcs, at the end around 100 hours of nice fun, a 5£ is a steal, reccomended.
  • Longevity
  • playability
  • Lord of the Ring
  • Nice Graphics
  • Not oper world
  • some side mission are a bit all the same
Amazing game. Good story, fun game mechanics and 2 more dlc's to top that. There are many unique orcs in a game that you can get, and many more player castles to destroy. Not to mention the game has a great community.
  • Gameplay
  • Dlc's
  • Progression system
One of the best games ! Fun and challenging to play !
From the prequel, alot of things evolved, from the combat system to the movement into the map, with more points of interest and things to do as well !
  • all good
  • Sometimes could be ripetitive
First time buying a game on Instant Gaming. I must say I had my doubts but everything was exactly as they said it would be. CD key was delivered on the day when game was offically launched, Steam validation passed...and I was good to go :) Game is awsome! But, personaly speaking, I like first part of the game to be better.
When Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor launched in 2014, it was a surprise, if not a revelation. Though it appeared in marketing materials and press events to be a tonally incoherent cash-in on a beloved intellectual property, Shadow of Mordor introduced one of the most astounding design innovations in the past decade of game development: the Nemesis System.

The Nemesis System was something delightful and totally new in 2014, and it was enough to earn the game a spot on our game of the year list. Now, it has expanded it to include even more orcs of a wider variety of personality types, and more interactions and options for building your personal army. In fact, Monolith focuses in so much on this aspect of the game that it loses the plot in other parts — like, well, the plot.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War picks up shortly after the goofy twist at the end of Shadow of Mordor. (Spoilers incoming for that game’s conclusion in 3 … 2 … 1.) The undying human ranger Talion and his ghostly elf companion Celebrimbor have forged a “New Ring,” a powerful weapon to help them fight back against the dark lord Sauron and his endless army of orcs. Along with a rotating cast of green-skinned brutes, Talion and Celebrimbor team up with a bigger group of allies in this game, including the elven assassin Eltariel and a mystical wood spirit named Carnan.

If you’re a longtime Lord of the Rings fan who found Shadow of Mordor’s looseness with canon distasteful, this sequel is only going to make you angrier. It’s closer to the original works of author J.R.R. Tolkien in some ways — while the first game seemed comfortable existing on its own as some sort of what-if scenario, Shadow of War seeks to bridge the gap between The Hobbit and the proper Lord of the Rings trilogy — yet it manages to be more extreme in the liberties it takes with the established lore of the series.

I should probably make it clear here that I am not one of those hardcore fans. But the game , OMG
I would have easily given this a score of 80+ if the grind wasn't so awful.

Don't get me wrong, this is what you want out of a sequel to an already great game! I can see anyone getting at least 50hrs of gameplay, maybe more with DLC's included.
  • Epic story with huge implications in the LOTR universe.
  • Well optimized with outstanding graphics.
  • Deeper customization with lots of builds to try out.
  • Nemesis System does a great job at providing an interesting cast of characters for you to play with.
  • Huge areas with lots of exploration options.
  • The final chapter of the Talion campaign is a horrible grind.
  • Galadriel DLC is a linear, 3hr borefest.
  • Baranor DLC is great, but too short.
  • I won't forget that this game used to have microtransactions. I won't forgive Monolith or WBI for that.
  • Slaughter Tribe DLC is garbage. Minus the different armor, the Orcs in this tribe behave exactly like the ones from the Marauder tribe.
It feels more like of the same last entry. The games have little to nothing in regards to lore accuracy yet they are fun to play if you manage to abstract yourself from that. Good gameplay only boosted further by the nemexis system. This time around it seems that choosing a different person to play as has actual differences in the way you experience the story.
The game suffers heavily from the typical open world game system. It has a lot of quests to complete, it also has no evolving continuity for the combat, the style is basically unchanged throughout the whole game. There is no visible progression from the previous title, it honestly looks like they just recycled the old game. Apart from fortress missions I can't tell any difference between this game and its predecessor.

Boss animations. There will be a point when you get so annoyed and tired from the unskippable animations of enemies making cringe statements. It was cool the first three hours but then it will just waste the time.

The story is luckily entertaining that until the end, where everything feels so rushy. It's as if they expect the players to be LOTR experts. It looks like they just skipped some major stories to explain the upcoming events. I know that the game is referencing to the film series but also it would be helpful if they just kept the same pace and not make the ending look like an unfinished game. Can't be that hard if you just recycle most things from the previous game, right?
  • Story
  • Characters
  • Repetitive combat
The game is just a masterpiece. The combination of Tolkien's world in which we can involve is just breathtaking. The last act literally gives you goosebumps(when we deliver a speech to our forces and the entry of Sauron). It's definitely worth your money. Every gamer who loves adventure should play this.
  • Lord of the Rings story line
  • Intense combat mechanics
  • Great Graphics
Amazing battle mechanics. Beautiful world and characters. Nice skill system. Nemesis system is deep and great addition. Story line could be better but not awful.. Bit more customization would be nice.
  • good nemesis system
  • battle mechanics
  • Generic "handsome" male protagonist
  • Bit restrictive/ not very open
The game is just awesome the graphics, story, gameplay, the interactions with the orcs every thing is great. But i have to say that the pit fights are a bit messy, orcs just stand there sometimes and u luse becuse of that, but otherwise an awesome game.100% recommend buying it for this price.
