Description
Junk, junk and even more junk. Life on the trash-planet Deponia is anything but a walk in the park. No surprise that Rufus had enough of that and hatches one ludicrous plan after the other to escape this bleak place.
When Rufus, on one of his attempts to leave Deponia behind, meets Goal, he not only falls madly in love with the beautiful girl from Elysium; he also accidentally shoves her right off her comfortable star cruiser and down to the desolate trash-planet. This accident kindles a new, brilliant plan: he needs to get Goal back to the floating city of Elysium – and while he's on it, he can also impersonate her sleazy fiance Cletus, who is the spitting image of Rufus for some reason. And thus, an exciting adventure begins...
Showered in top-scores and awards, the Deponia-Trilogy, created by the developers of Edna&Harvey: The Breakout, The Whispered World and Memoria, managed to reach cult-status almost instantly. Thanks to its exciting story, likeable characters and hilarious dialogues and a finely crafted mixture of comedy and puzzles, Deponia is enjoyable for both, young and old. Join Rufus on his thrilling journeys, for the first time in a complete edition with many new features, that will not only be a blast for hardcore adventure fans, but also those new to the genre.

Deponia: The Complete Journey Review
Deponia: The Complete Journey is a hilarious and heartwarming point-and-click adventure game with a charming cast of characters, well-designed puzzles, and a beautiful hand-drawn art style.
Follow the misadventures of Rufus, a lazy and incompetent slacker who dreams of escaping the junkyard planet of Deponia and living in the floating city of Elysium. Along the way, he'll meet a variety of interesting characters, including the feisty Goal, the mysterious Organon, and the malevolent Ulysses.
The game features a wide variety of puzzles, from simple inventory puzzles to more complex logic puzzles. Most of the puzzles are fair and satisfying to solve, but a few can be a bit too difficult or obscure.
The game's story is full of twists and turns, and it's genuinely funny throughout. The characters are all well-developed and likable, and the voice acting is excellent.
Overall, Deponia: The Complete Journey is a must-play for any fan of point-and-click adventure games. It's a hilarious, heartwarming, and well-crafted adventure that will stay with you long after you finish playing.
Score: 9/10

Welcome to the trashy world of Deponia!
Buckle up and get ready for a rather stinky adventure
Story introduction
If you like puzzles, cartoons and sassy humor - Deponia is a game you would love!
In the first part we meet our Deponian hero Rufus. His personality is likely summed up by his nickname "Bad luck Rufus", but he has some qualities too. Despite being self-centered, clumsy and not completely involved in common sense, he is pretty creative with his ways and overall a fun dude.
Have you ever watched any of those bad "stoner guy goes on an adventure" kind of movies? Well, if you did, Rufus seems to be inspired by a similar story. So, not a guy with a plan, but rather a guy with many bad ones.
Love interest
As the game progresses, his character develops too, especially with having a red-headed half human-half robot love interest and all. If we learned anything from the 5th element is that perfection comes with red hair! Anyway, where was I.. Oh yes, Rufus.
His main goal is obviously to leave his home planet. Which is probably the most common sense he has in his whole story with Deponia being well, a depony.
The red-headed love interest at first seems simply as a bonus to his escape plan since she is from Rufus's goal planet (Elysium), but as the story progresses, we realize Rufus is starting to fall in love with our redhead and saving her becomes a priority. Conveniently, her name is Goal!
Additional info
Leaving with Goal to Elysium, which is the complete opposite to Deponia and everything our hero ever dreamt of would be oh so, heavenly! However, our hero soon will learn that "perfection" comes with a high price to pay.
Saying too much would be spoiling the game so I guess I will let you meet Rufus from here on by yourself.
Like him or not you will have fun playing with him as the main hero in the story, for sure!
Gameplay
As for other aspects of the game, as I said in the beginning, it's a puzzle-oriented click on a game with solid cartoonish graphics and a lot of stoner humor. The puzzles are enough to keep you interested, so they are not on "hurt me plenty" mode, but they keep the brain going! Despite solving puzzles you will be pleasantly surprised by exploring other characters and their quirks.
Summary
The world around Rufus might be full of trash, but he surely makes the most of it. You know how the old saying goes... "One man's trash is the others... escape plan kit?"
Anyway, the game has a way to pull you into its world and I couldn't wait to finish up my tasks to see what happens next in the story! If you like the first Deponia, I have great news for you! With it being a 2012 game, there are a few more. To be exact there are 3 whole new games you can explore and the best part is - they are all chained to our main Deponia story.
Also, the games are cheap, so for the minimum money's worth (2-3 bucks per game) you get maximum gaming worth! Bonus points to Deponia's unique soundtrack and "droggeljug" as the second wave game completion option! I will let you find out what the last one means by yourself. So, what are you waiting for? Go grab your credit card and have some fun, man!
