6/10 Definitely a game for all hardcore D&D rules and RPG genre lovers. After 170+ hours, the full potential that the game initially offers remains unused. Personally, I didn't have the desire, will, or motivation to finish the game, even though, according to Wikipedia, I am only about 2 hours away from the end. When enjoyment turns into forced playing and frustration, there’s nothing left but to hope that Wrath of the Righteous is a significantly better game.
- Very deep character creation and options related to difficulty and gameplay
- Possibility to play in two modes, turn-based and real-time, with controller support
- Interesting storyline, dialogue choices, and decisions that have consequences
- The idea of Kingdom Management is ruined by a multitude of time gated events
- Small and generic zones, very limited exploration and freedom
- The game’s difficulty and most important - performance, are very poorly balanced, regardless of the PC's power

I adore this game but I highly recommend watching a Youtube video or two before playing the game to get a basic understanding. There are also many helpful guides online. However, I am really enjoying playing this game.

Super deep baldurs gate style role-playing game. Graphics are nice, the music is great. Near release there were a lot of bugs, but since I started playing three weeks ago it has been smooth sailing. Battles are challenging. Would recommend to read some guides about character builds before starting to play. Overall do not regret buying this game in the slightest. Best old school style RPG I played the past ten years.
