Description
The Sims 4: Get Famous is the latest expansion pack for the engaging Sims series: a range of mostly sandbox games where you control your sims to live out their best (or worst) life according to your caprices. It is the sixth expansion pack for Sims 4. There are almost one hundred different Sims games and expansion packs to play through, so your Sims world can be as big and comprehensive as you like!
In this edition, the goal is to make your Sim (your playing avatar) become famous. There is a traditional route to fame: your character can take full advantage of the brand-new acting career options, but there are also less traditional but fairly realistic paths to fame. These include uploading videos, using social media to grow your fan base, releasing music or trying your hand at comedy.
You can even become more of a local celebrity by hanging around at the right coffee shops rather than actually doing anything. The quickest way to achieve your goals though, is to attend and win auditions – all the while keeping your fitness high and being charismatic besides.
You have to keep your fame levels high by performing tasks that will keep you in the eye and mind of the public, but this can become something of a double-edged sword.
When your fame levels get too high, you will find yourself getting swarmed by paparazzi all the time. This can become very frustrating especially if you are trying to grow a community Sim family alongside your acting (or whatever source of fame you are chasing) career, as your family activities are also swamped by the press, to the point that you cannot actually enjoy raising your children or enjoying a meal with your partner.
However, unlike in Sims 3, when the growing fame tainted your family members and friends, with no way to stop it, in this game, you can switch off your fame with the click of a button when it gets too much for you, or when you have had enough of the high life.
This is not to say that the whole family cannot embrace fame if they want to: you can all work hard and cash in on a Kardashian-style level of fame in which the whole family enjoys a high measure of celebrity.
There are twin measures: fame and reputation, and they aren’t as closely linked as they might be in real life. This means you can have a terrible reputation for starting bar fights, shoplifting or other nefarious deeds, but this will not necessarily make you more or less famous: Likewise being famous doesn’t impact on your reputation unless you perform acts that will enhance it: picking fistfights, committing crimes, or even just being nice to people.
Hot Spots, the place to be. Your fame-hungry sim needs to be seen in the right places so find out where the place to be is, and go grab a coffee there. Keep an eye on the prices, though, hot spots tend to be the most expensive cafes and restaurants in town – nice bit of real-world accuracy there!
You can develop annoying or quirky traits as a sim. Watch your phone usage, or you’ll be branded a ‘phone addict’. You can be an addict – but to juice rather than anything nastier – or you can demand that no one touches you. These quirks can add to both your reputation and your fame levels
You don’t have to get famous for acting or just being seen in the right place. Work your way up in the industry as a self-employed social media star, making and uploading videos and so on, to grow a more intimate audience
The Sims 4: Get Famous is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

Yes, get this pack! It isnt for everyone though. If you enjoy the celebrity/fame lifestyle of the sims like me, then absolutely get it! I like a lot of drama and realistic papparazi. Get Famous is definitely very immersive! The active Acting career is really fun as there's always so many gigs you can do, and the payouts are high. I also like that small things like posting videos, posing for pictures to paparazzi, uploading simstagram stories, and more, add fame & reputation to your Sims. I also like how your Sims can be nominated for awards and get them at the Starlight Accolades, however it would've been better to not be a weekly occurence. The one major setback I personally have with this pack is the world. Del Sol Valley is supposed to be based off of Los Angeles, so I was expecting it to be bigger for an expansion pack. Why can't EA make a big world like Windenburg again? Del Sol Valley should have just came with more lots as I like the idea of the Pinnacles neighborhood being like Beverly Hills so it should have came with a lot of mansions and the main center should've had more venues. Also, the premade lots are absolutely atrocious. One of the premade mansions has ONE toilet in like the 5 bathrooms it has and one of the other mansions has a terrible exterior! Don't even get me started on the Plumbob Pictures Museum.. Overall though, it's still a great pack! 8/10
- Fame/reputation/quirks system is in-depth
- Very immersive with paparazzi, award ceremonies, & more
- Actor career
- Very underwhelming world
- Ugly premade lots

I love the Sims. This expansion pack was a great addition to my world. I was able to redeem the code without any issues. Game was ready to use instantly and did not affect my current game play. Cant wait to buy another.
- Easy to use
- Smooth Downloading
- Great game

Not too sure how I feel about the DLC yet, I do love the new systems and the new city. I do wish there was a little more...
The celebrity systems are fun to mess around with however it is annoying that it still is active in with sims you may not want it to be active with.

- Celebrity System

The code itself came really quickly, but I didn't enjoy the expansion so much. It's fun, but other expansions are more fun. Personally, I played with the expansion for days, but it gets pretty boring and repetitive after couple of hours spent playing with it.

Get Famous is definitely an interesting EP. The acting career totally grows with your actor, which is really cool. Many things can give you fame points, which is nice. The addition of scars is really cool for CC.

I love this game and it definitely adds a lot of new gameplay to your game. I think that EA have fallen short with the world though, but what do we expect! They could have gone further with the pack and it lacks CAS objects but it adds some good and cool gameplay. Not the worst, but not the best.
- The new game play
- New jobs (youtuber)
- Being able to become famous
- The small world
- Lack of CAS
- They could of gone further!

Freakin' small world, again. Other than that it's fun, full of choices and a little scary. It's a lifestyle of the rich and you can become what you want. It's connected to many previous DLCs. For example you can become famous for being a basketball player. If you are 5star famous and go to other world's the paparazzi will follow you. Don't worry other than that they don't show up randomly too often in other cities. You can have a squad of fans who have your back and you can summon them whenever you desire. A ton of fancy, modern and some extravaganza items and objects for CAS and Build/Buy. It’s even possible to, with a lot of work and finesse, get famous for essentially nothing but being a local fixture in coffee shops and venues. The most efficient way to become a quick celebrity stardom is hiring a pr or talent agency passing auditions and nailing gigs, all which require different skills.Everything is done way more elegant than in Sims 3. It comes with a bunch of activites Overall I can recommend this pack to all who love everything about the Fame. It's fun and for entertaining ;)
- Acting Career + a bunch of other ways to be famous
- Sim(You)tuber and Music Production is a thing
- Active Career join your Sim
- Play it safe (slower) or go risky for the fame
- Choose your path of a good vs. bad reputation
- Small World with 9 lots
- No singing career
- No modern sandals / heels for ladies
- Plain swatches are missing on certain items, again
- Missing modern furniture its too fancy :( for my taste

its pretty cool ;3 I hope they will add more objects and clothes soon! But the New Doors and Windows are fascinating! I love it! I think the new playable Career is the best thing in this pack and this cute little clothes!
- all lot of cool new things
- not enough space to build something

I have been waiting for this expansion pack for a while ! Only thing I'm not really happy about is the size of the new city, but that's the Sims 4 brand so I won't complain too much. Don't hesitate to purchase this though !
- New careers
- You can be a celebrity
- Size of the city
- Not enough new clothes, accessories ect
