Description

Day Z for PC is a survival game set against the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse. It is located in a fictional area, the post-Soviet Chernarus (a portmanteau of Chernobyl/ Russia perhaps?), where the outbreak has seen most of the population become infected. The game is both first person and third person shooter multiplayer game.

About the Game

The premise is simple: the player must survive and achieve his or her mission without being infected by the aggressive zombies. As with many survival games, the player starts off with the bare minimum: the clothes they stand up in, a road flare and a rag. Using these, the player must explore the large world around them, venturing (carefully) into buildings and houses in search of supplies which include food and water that are vital to staying healthy and alive.

Finding other garments allows the player to increase their carrying capacity so they can carry extra food, items to stay warm and weapons. Weapons tend to be melee weapons, but there are a small number of firearms to be scavenged too, so do keep your eyes open and explore each building and area of interest thoroughly

Stay Healthy

It is not only the zombie outbreak that players have to worry about, there are many other diseases waiting to strike down the unwary player. These include hepatitis, cholera and dysentery which are caught by drinking unsanitary water or eating rotten food. These conditions must be cured with the appropriate medications, which must be scavenged and saved until needed.

If injured, players will bleed which will weaken them – losing clarity of vision and even becoming unconscious, which is not an ideal state when zombies are roaming about – unless bandaged promptly to stop the blood flow.

Players can build shelters in which they can be safe while recovering or while making plans for future missions. There are hundreds of open access games for players to read embedded in the game too.

Stay in Communication

The multiplayer aspect of the game is highly important with communication with other online players paramount. When your character is within hailing distance of another, you will be able to talk to each other using the microphones in your headset:

  • If you do not have a mic through which to speak, you can still communicate via a text box which will pop up on your screen

  • Players can also communicate on a basic level with body movements and hand gestures – for example, if you want to surrender, you can raise your avatar’s hands over their head in the traditional submissive pose

  • A ‘Whisper Channel’ is in production, which will allow allies to talk to each other without nearby enemies being able to overhear the plan. This will allow subtle stealth campaigns to be planned and executed, raiding camps and buildings that are controlled by others, without your plan being broadcast to the nearby world – including the people you are about to pounce on!

  • Radios, too, are being considered, mainly as a form of two way communication, but also with the possibility of a player run radio station being incorporated into the game so if you have a budding DJ inside you, watch out for the introduction of this feature so you can entertain fighters and zombies alike with your wit, erudition and good taste in music

  • Day Z for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

    Best Survival game ever .

Everything in this game is awesome. Looting, questing, PVE and PVP. It's all good. This game is a masterpiece, especially if you love survival games. You definently never rage playing this game.
    • best experience survivals
    • car handling
Absolutely Worth Buying - Don't Trust the Naysayers

I've poured thousands of hours into DayZ, and I can confidently say that this game is absolutely worth your time and money. Don't let the negative reviews from people who have only played for a few hours discourage you.

DayZ offers an unparalleled survival experience that few games can match. The vast open world, intense player interactions, and realistic survival mechanics create a gripping atmosphere that keeps you coming back for more. The learning curve can be steep, but once you get the hang of it, the game becomes incredibly rewarding.

The community is vibrant and varied, with many dedicated players who are just as passionate about the game as I am. Whether you enjoy PvP, base building, or simply exploring the beautiful, desolate landscape, DayZ has something for everyone.

One crucial aspect to consider is the server you choose to play on. Your choice of server can significantly impact your experience. Some servers focus on hardcore survival, while others offer more PvE or role-playing opportunities. Take the time to find a server that aligns with your play style to get the most out of the game.

I don't understand how people can compare Rust to DayZ. While both are open-world survival games, DayZ is rooted in realism and immersion, whereas Rust has a more arcade-like feel. The only real similarity is the survival aspect, but the experiences they offer are vastly different.

Yes, the game has its bugs and quirks, but the developers are constantly working to improve it. The frequent updates and new content keep the experience fresh and exciting.

In conclusion, DayZ is a must-buy for anyone looking for a deep and immersive survival game. Trust the opinions of those who have truly experienced the game and understand its depth and complexity. This game isn't for the faint of heart, but for those willing to invest the time, it's an unforgettable adventure.
Great survival game when you get the hang of the controls great game though i love that large community but its toxic non the less honestly almost never had a issue with the mechanics besides when i started
    • large community with tons of servers
    • realistic guns, combat mechanics, and realistic health
    • official servers take 1 minute and 15 seconds
    • when blood is low it makes it black and white which is annoying

    The game is not good
is not worth it if you cant multiplayer in my opinion though
    Tb
horrible, no loot, boring, just walking between houses to find a shirt, a jacket, get killed, repeat. Theres no crafting, no base building, there barely vehicles i guess, but all i could find were trashed
I had high hopes as it checked all the boxes for what I've been looking for but playing for roughly less than 2 hours of play i got bored as was playing with a friend and grew bored immediately after not being able to find my buddy. Ended up with a huge headache after getting off the game big pass from me.
Honestly for me the game is a huge waste of money, it isn't like in the videos. Rust is so muche better and funnier than dayZ.

Well, that was my opinion on the game if you thing it is better well good for you
Great game, virtually no bugs, and definitely worth the money. Graphics leave something to be desired, but that is to be expected from a game this old. But definitely worth it for the money. Good game
As a fan of more hardcore survival games and all, Dayz hit the spot, would recommend for anyone interested in big maps with lots of weapons and hardcore PvE.

This is kinda like bigger scale EFT and smaller scale Arma, its truly a masterpiece.
    • Uses your GPU more than your CPU, chances are your GPU is stronger so thats good.
    • Fairly friendly community
    • Looks great and runs very well even on max settings
    • Can have quite the Stutters but compared to Arma and other titles its good
    • Hard to get into but the experience is fun
    • Jumpscares :D
very bad, total waste of my money. i have been plaing rust lately and that is soooo much better. in dayz i only managed to play 2.5 hours, no more. constantly looking for food/water. zombies kill you, find no other supplies.

i find it really strange that there is no map at all on the game, i mean. WTF?

you need to find the map online but youl first need to find a sign to say where you are... trust me dont buy this. complete waste of money
    • nothing
    • everything
good game yes its many good game and not bad game. I like it because good game and not bad game if you know what i mean haha im many funny. Good game not bad at all only some buggy stuff and crash sometimes but its not too bad. Worth the money for good fun experience haha.

    • not bad
DayZ is a tough one. The vanilla game is insultingly unfinished and not worth the price at all. This game has been out for years and its still in an alpha state basically, its really bad in some places! But then theres mods.... well actually its not just the mods. Luckily, DayZ has some thriving communities to this day and if you get some mods, join a good server and group with some fun people you can have some really awesome experiences. It is so hard to rate this game because it is such a subjective experience; all games are of course, but the places this game can take you can vary so much from person to person. You have some people with thousands of hours of playtime who will tell you DayZ is videogame gold and then you can have someone who looks at the base game and rightfully calls it a piece of trash.
    • potential for great and varied experiences
    • mods (!)
    • some very nice communities
    • tons of bugs
    • unfinished
    • vanilla game is really bland
    • potentially repetitive
    Trying to be honest:
I enjoyed Dayz for the first few days. Sure, technical issues here and there, but the exploration and looting were fine.

    Then stuff went down quick:
I've spent the last days grinding and looting around to build some sort of base and storage. During one of my usual drives to a Milbase, my game had a brutal CTD that I have never experienced before (Excess of memory usage I suppose). I came back on a couple minutes later, just to find out that my Survivor had died, my car had despawned and my stuff, including the base, had disappeared.
Server admins couldn't help me, as stuff like this is almost normal.

I mean, I didn't spend too much money on this game, but why the hell are these technical issues still there after so much time? This is NOT how you manage a game.

Seven days, and I've already had my fill.
    • The "original" survival game
    • Way too many technical issues
    • Updates that force community admins to wipe servers everytime
    • Too frustrating
best encounters game, lots of crafting and real survival issues to deal with. The map is huge and there is a lot of place to find loot. Few bugs are still remaining and you have to be patient for updates ...
    • encouters
    • lots of crafting

Wonderful game since it just got updated, boosted the player count somewhat a lot. Totally Recommend trying out! Get a good and a big group of friends for this game, since you will need them. The fore...
    • A lot of things to do in the game.
    • Fun with friends.
    • Improved Physics.
    • Building in online servers.
    • Zombies glitch out sometimes.
    • Lags if you don't have good enough pc.

    • OpenWorld
    • große Serverauswahl
    • ohne Mods unspielbar
    • 10km Weg für ein Item
