A beautiful tale about resurrection and honor fulfilling your duty as a shinobi. The path is not easy but in the end you return from a game as a master of sword fighting. There is no other way around. Learn-adapt-evolve.

Swinging yourself as a wind into fictional Japan so satisfying. Many beautiful locations filled with majestic mythology that becomes alive in front of your eyes.

Sword fighting at its best core to the date of from soft games. Challenging boss fights that will stuck for long in your memory. From white poop throwing monkey to the one of the best boss you meet in game Isshin the Sword Saint that will take whole soul from you. The learning curve is challenging at first but when you focus and use every skill you learned from whole game then and only then you become the one with yourself and sword.

Challenge yourself and become the master of shinobi.

Easily one of the best souls-like game in my opinion. The addition of vertical mechanics + posture and being able to block/perfect parry adds a really good flavour to the game. I like to think of the Boss fights as a sort of melody, once you learn every move and patterns, it kinda feels as if you're dancing with the Boss and I find this really pleasing to do, even more on a difficult videogame.
I liked the game so much I completed it at 100% on two different platforms.

GOTY Edition
Perfect game.
Needs a little time to click with the parry mechanic (specially if it wasn't your thing on other SoulsBorne games) but once it does, is awesome.
Exploration is good, feeling agile as a shinobi is meant to, and of course lots of hidden areas and good items to find in weird places.
It feels too hard in the beginning, but after you learn the basics I'd say is more 'permissive' than DS games.
