Description

Rainbow Six Siege for PC is an online tactical shooter game. There is a strong emphasis on environmental destruction and cooperation between players, with each player assuming control of a playing character to defend or attack in each different scenario. These include hostage rescue, bomb defusing, and capturing or defending a control point.

The game got off to a slow start but plenty of downloadable content upgrades, plus the developers ‘game as service model’, since its release have seen any gaps in gameplay, plot and progression get filled in, and it is now known as one of the best games of its type with over 45 million registered players worldwide.

About the game

The player chooses to play as one of the members of the Rainbow teams. There are several to choose from, and each character has different gear and gadgetry, specialised weapons and are even of nationalities. You can play as American, German, Russian, French or British operatives, all in teams of four.

As each team member has different capabilities and gear, teamwork, cooperation and communication between all the players is absolutely vital for successful runs. Tactical thinking starts early and then provides a support throughout the whole game: the most successful missions are those that are carefully planned from the off.

Players can choose their character, make upgrades and perform customisations to weaponry and gadgets, as well as pick spawn/ respawn points: but once the mission has started these choices cannot be undone so players must consider all the information carefully before committing to anything.

Once a battle is initiated, it must run to the end, and players cannot respawn until it is lost or won. Characters killed in the fray, however, can enter Support Mode, and aid their companions remotely as radio support and similar.

What’s the Story?

The White Masks are a terrorist organisation bent on world domination for unknown reasons. Rainbow unit is redeployed, having been dormant for three years, and controlled by Six (voicing and motion capture performed by Angela Bassett).

The teams are assembled and trained, before setting forth on the main mission, the take down of the White Masks after they attack a university (Bartlett University). The players must find their way onto campus, battle through the villains and break the siege to rescue those innocents on the grounds and eradicate the terrorists.

The campaign ends with a huge success, and the end result is that Rainbow Unit is needed for the security of the world. The unit stands ready and able, awaiting the next call to action, whenever it should arise.

Real Feel Sieges and Earning Renown

In order to offer an authentic siege experience, the game developers actually consulted genuine anti-terror units, examining real-life siege scenarios. This is noticeable in the game, with genuine psychological dilemmas presenting themselves to the players – a couple of hours’ gameplay will leave you sweating and breathless!

The in-game currency is ‘reknown’ and it can be used to upgrade weapons and gear, customise characters and to purchase cosmetic touches that will make your character more uniquely yours. It is earned by completing missions, performing tasks and can also be bought with real cash.

Environmental concerns

Players must use their environment to their advantage: shooting holes through walls to weaken them, or planting explosives while on the attack. Defenders need to strengthen walls and raise barriers using barbed wire or laser traps to prevent attackers from breaching into their stronghold.

These actions must be planned before battle commences as there will no be time once everything kicks off.

While tracking through places, the backgrounds are well rendered, with lots of domestic detritus and the odd poignant reminder of former times.

The sound-track is quieter, with muted ambient sounds overlaid with occasional bursts of footsteps and gunshots – this gives a spectral feel to the quiet times, heightening the tension to almost unbearable levels before contact with the enemy allows the suspense to be dispensed with a burst of action.

Ways to Play

  • Multiplayer

  • Working in concert with your team members is the overall purpose of the game, and communication and planning are key in getting the whole team working in concert to cover all the bases and make sure objectives are met.

  • Single player

  • This is the tutorial level, but offers enough fun and engagement to be a standalone solo game in its own right. ‘Situations’ are a series of missions, loosely connected with a narrative thread, which train players in all the skills needed for future meetings with or battles against the White Masks.

Absorbing and fun, they get you ready for the main game which is multiplayer combat missions, as mentioned above.

Three major positives offered by the game include:

  • Player Expression

  • Tactical Intensity

  • Creative – competitive – teamwork

  • Rainbow Six Siege for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

This game is not about winning or losing, it's about not losing your sanity. You will get verbally abused by Romanians who don't even know English. You will be in a 1v1, and you will hear your half braindead teammate's microwave because he doesn't know what push to talk is. Nothing is worse than this game. Would recommend tho.
No shooter like it this far! The battle pass could add more r6 credits to redeem bundles. Skins are crisp and the movement feels good! Definitely a good competitive game to this date. Would highly recommend being an OG Siege player.?
    • Smooth and crisp
Do you know that feeling of you having no more soul, that's what this game is like. You are gonne scream because the hitbox is broken and your teammates are terrible, you will regret the day you bought this game.

    Good game 9/10 :)
    • Nice shooting

    • A little bit of scripting

Rainbow six siege aint no call of duty where you rush and just kill for kd, r6 is a stratagy shooter where you need to think of every move you do. Sound and communication is very important. Graphics 7.5/10 gameplay 10/10.
    • Every operator is unique
    • A lot to learn /time to spend(operators and maps sometimes even guns)
Rainbow Six Siege is the perfect choice for anyone who loves tactical depth and precise teamwork. With its demanding strategies and versatile operators, the game provides a unique foundation to master strategic thinking and coordination. Various training modes and challenges allow you to continuously improve and refine your skills. With serious dedication, you also have the chance to step into the exciting world of eSports—just like WildLift Clan! If you're ready to take your tactics and team spirit to the next level, Rainbow Six Siege is the game for you

Had this game for a while just never really played it seen a couple streamers play it and it looked fun so I decided to test it out. It is very different from other fps games there's a lot of skills you'll need to learn and it is very strategical.
    • Variety of play styles
    • Fun
    • Good graphics
    • Challenging to beginners
    • No skill based match-making
A very good game to play with friends, it's a shame however that the game is so different from its beginning and that the anticheat is so ineffective, despite that there are a lot of operators and maps to play a lot of different gameplays
    • Many operators and maps
    • Many cheaters
I was never into shooters but after getting convinced by my friend I can't deny I never enjoyed any game like this before! one of the best purchases of all time! I am more of a casual player, I'm definitelly not a pro but it is fun
    • Great graphics
    • fun gameplay
    • sometimes rude community
    • no skill-based matchmaking
Because a saw a few steamers play it, I got interested and wanted to try t, so I decided to buy it and I really enjoy it. Its different than most of the FPS games. I have to get used to the peaking, and all of the other things but its perfect!
    • Super gameplay and character
    • Inside of a building and not open field
    • Very competetive
    • Controlls may seem difficult
    • Love it!
Impossible to recommend as a single-player game. Siege is a splendid multiplayer shooter for well-organised (and forgiving) teams, with great tactical terrain destruction. Just remember to use voice chat :).

Even tho Rainbow six siege broke me mentally, its just a fun expierence.

I'd personally say that there really isnt quite a tactical FPS like R6. The first time i played it, i was pretty stunned, it felt so much different compared to the usual COD expierence, it was a nice change of pace.

So, what do i recommend? i'd personally recommend you to try it out. The game isnt that expensive, and impo its worth every cent. Just dont try Ranked, trust me turts. Its hell...
    • Fun Gameplay
    • Alot of choices between different kinds of OPS
    • It'll ruin your life if you touch the Ranked mode (Rust style)
    • If you dont spend credits on OPS, it can be a pretty annoying grind
    • Ranked
The game was broken, didnt work, it didnt let me shotI hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the recent purchase of the game, [Game Title], and to request a refund for my purchase.

Upon playing the game, I encountered several significant issues that severely impacted my overall experience:

Performance Problems: The game suffers from consistent performance issues, including frequent frame drops and lag, even on a system that exceeds the recommended specifications. This significantly hinders gameplay immersion.

Buggy Gameplay: I encountered numerous bugs and glitches that disrupt the flow of the game. These ranged from minor inconveniences to game-breaking issues that required restarting entire sections.

Unfulfilled Promises: The game failed to deliver on several promises made during its marketing campaign. Features and mechanics that were advertised as groundbreaking and innovative were, in reality, either absent or poorly implemented.

Lackluster Storyline: The narrative lacked depth and failed to engage me as a player. Character development was minimal, and the plotline felt disjointed and underdeveloped.

Unresponsive Customer Support: Despite multiple attempts to seek assistance with the aforementioned issues, I received no response from the customer support team. This lack of responsiveness only added to my frustration.

Given the severity of these issues, I believe a refund is not only justified but also in accordance with the terms of service outlined by your platform. I kindly request that you process a refund for the purchase of [Game Title] at your earliest convenience.

Please. For the love of all that is holy, do yourself a favor and mute all your random teammates at the start of every game. Then and only then is this game worth playing. We played against the Spetsnaz unit.

They killed us all, including the hostage. Very realistic portrayal, 10/10.

    • Not that hard to master
    • Good graphics
    • Attention to detail
    • Toxic community
    • You lose nerves in competitive
    • attention to detail
Epic, been playing it for half a year now. Definitely enjoyed it a lot! If you're looking for a fun competitive shooter I'd say this is the right game for you, requires a lot of thinking and making lots of decisions!
    • Fun
    • Good firearm selection
    • A bunch of operators
    • Requires good thinking
    • Certain weapons only limited to certain OP's
    • Level 50 to be able to play competitive
Overall pretty good, it has a paywall so there aren't many kids playing this game also there are little to no Russian players so if you are coming from csgo it will be a sigh of relief. Btw you wont have fun in your first 20 games at least
    • Better than csgo
    • no russians
    • Really good game for somebody who is willing to invest time
    • Harder than csgo
    • the ''britt*ish*
    • Bad for begginers
Makes a lot of fun. I very like the competitive gameplay in this shooter. I play it since year 2 and still my favourite game. For little more moneybin this game u can have all operators and u dont need to earn the ingame money for them.

the game is too competitive and you need to watch atleast 20 hours of tips video to get better. This game will make you raging all the times; mm is absolute bullshit in all the ways; most of the time you are against veterans and die immidiately. Also, aiming is a totally nightmare cos you need to train hours and hours on it . It's a game bro, not a sport
    • graphic
    • too competetitive
Even though I didn't buy this game from Instant Gaming, I still recommend it. It is one of the few games where toxicity meets the bottom, making the encounter of a toxic player in your game very low. The gameplay is well polished and balanced. I returned to this game after a year and dare I say the game has improved even more. 10/10!
    • Balanced gameplay
    • Large selection of operators
    • Does not require a powerful computer
    • High cost of operators
    • Long-term grind to unlock one operator for a minimum of 10,000 Renown
