Description

Outriders for PC is a third person action adventure shooter game with some role playing elements. It is a successful mixture of Wild West type survival and sci fi space exploration, offering the most fun bits of both worlds in an engrossing game that will keep you playing happily for hours.

About the Game

You begin the game by customising your character, as so often is the case. You will pick one of four classes for your character (see below for details) and then arm yourself against the variety of human and monster enemies that you will be battling. You can play solo, or with two other players depending on your preferences and the availability of your mates.

Weapons are rifles and shotguns, but they can be upgraded and improved with modifications, and you can opt for every assisting trick, gizmo and gadget on the market, or you can play old-school with just a simple cross-hair through which to aim at your opponents.

As you play, explore the map to your heart’s content – the game is not open world with missions keeping you tied to one area until it is complete, but within that area the map is spacious enough that you feel as though you are moving at your own motivation rather than being funnelled along a narrow path. So, take your time and speak to any non-playing characters (NPCs) that you come across and accept side missions and mini quests from them as you go.

Instead of level difficulty this game offers world tiers, with higher tiers offering more challenging quests which offer more rewards in the form of loot. Despite the presence of enemies, the focus of the game is rather more player versus environment over player versus player, which is better for those who like to test their skills against the game without having to watch out for fellow players coming along to sabotage their best efforts!
The core game will run to 25 – 30 hours with plenty of extras in the form of side quests and missions from NPCs.

What’s the Story?

The basic premise of the game is simple: having completely drained the Earth of all its usable resources, humanity has fortuitously discovered planet Enoch, which is (very nearly) perfect to support human life. This attempt to colonise the planet is still in its early stages, and you and your band of compatriots are tracking a mysterious signal to discover what it is and who is sending it. All of a sudden, the expedition is disrupted by a mysterious energy storm which they call ‘The Anomaly’. The Anomaly turns out to be basically a storm which will eat you, given half the chance, and if it doesn’t do that, it will mutate you! The mutations are not all bad, however, and Enoch’s indigenous inhabitants and colonists end up with a variety of superpowers.

How Classy Are You?

The four classes you can choose from when setting up your character are as follows:

  • Trickster – annoy enemies and impress friends by manipulating time to suit your own purposes

  • Pyromancer – burn enemies and light cooking fires for friends by manipulating fire to suit your own purposes

  • Devastator – unleash seismic waves and blasts upon hordes of enemies to clear the path in one fell swoop

  • Technomancer – use your mutant powers to awaken defunct technologies and make them do your bidding

  • Outriders for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

I've played around 21 h of demo and then continued playing after buying the entire game with all DLC content. And I am not disappointed. This is not the game for cry babies, this is a game with heavy grind in mind as a 3'rd person looter shooter game mechanic. This is close to the Mass Effect 3 cover system and shooting mechanic.

So for me, this game made all the expectations and I will do my best to support the game developers as much as I can for they deserve every ounce of praise for this game.

So far I have yet to encounter any kind of problem, but from what I have experienced thus far there are no game-breaking bugs.

And for those who encounter bullet sponge enemies they are like that by default DESIGN, SO STOP CRYING ABOUT IT. If you don't like it don't play it's that simple.

Every enemy by design is explained how he works and what is it that you as a player need to do to break him down.

If you are lazy to use your skills as you are advised to do then again don't play, and for GOD's sake stop crying about it like a spoiled child.

That said and one more time I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE GAME MECHANICS AND WORLD DESIGN.

Thank you DEVS for doing everything you can to bring this wonderful game to us and I hope for more paid...YES, YOU HEARD ME RIGHT YOU PLAYERS WHO DON'T LIKE TO PAY FOR MORE CONTENT, I HOPE FOR MORE paid DLC and EXPANSIONS for this game.

I for one work and have a full-time job and I like to support developers who make such good games like this. PEACE OUT!

Another fail FPS no ammo + 10k handicap every stage. Pure garbage

Highly repetitive, terribly optimized, tone-deaf story with no sense of direction all tied together under the easy wrapping of a looter shooter to keep players engaged when there is no real substance to be found. It also had my 3080 running red hot in both DX11 (which had massive technical problems) and DX12 even though the game itself is pretty average looking at best.
    • no ammo
    • too many handicap
honestly from all the flak it received before I bought the game. its actually been pretty good especially for something that usually isn't made by square enix and doesn't feel like its boggish while playing the game
My first impressions were not great, I found the movement clunky, the graphics felt a little dated and there were weird movement issues that would cause me to walk into danger rather than away from it. However, the longer I played the more I found myself enjoying the game. It took me 40+ hours to finish the story with the technomancer and I really enjoyed how the story unfolded. It was dark and gritty which I loved. The gameplay reminded me of Destiny and The Division. I was worried the limited number of skills was going to be boring but the skills and weapon system worked really well and I found myself mixing it up depending on the situation. The fights were challenging without feeling impossible even though some I found myself dying multiple times before completing. Overall not a highly polished game but what is there works well and could easily become a great game with a few patches and expansions

The son of Destiny and Gears of War with the best of each. For those who like a third person shooter, theme of superhuman abilities against monsters, this is the best there is. The topic of gameplay with friends ask someone who has.
    • good playability
    • well optimized
    • History
    • Low character customization
Regardless of the few crashes I had in the Game it was a lot of Fun to play with one of my good friends it wasnt too easy nor too hard. The only downside is that the End Game is very repetitive because you basically play the same Missions over an over again until you get better drops.
    • Not too easy
    • Story is good
    • Nice Outfits
    • Crossplay
    • Very repetitive towards the End
    • Crashed a Few Times
Game is awsome! Needs some fix and improvements but still fun!

The Variaty of builds you can make is almost endless and fun.

Hope the Dev team can make it into a near perfect if not perfect game!

Rolling the perfect combination of perks on your favorite Destiny guns could take hours, but it's just a few clicks in Outriders.

Outriders — the new co-op RPG shooter from Poland-headquartered People Can Fly, the studio behind Gears of War: Judgment and Bulletstorm — is an always-online experience. That's not new for video games in today's day and age, more so when you've got a co-op title like Outriders that allows friends and/or strangers — depending on your in-game settings — to drop in and out. But always-online games are a two-fold problem: they not only require gamers to have an uninterrupted Internet connection, but they also demand the game's servers to constantly function at the highest order.
This might be a good game, once it is finished... The game is nowhere close to being ready for a full price release. Constant crashing, issues, bugs, multiplayer is a dumpsterfire... Its good game that is just NOT READY to be sold at full price...
    • Gameplay itself
    • good balance between depth and simplicity
    • cool story
    • Crashing
    • Multiplayer issues
    • very limited and repetitive endgame content
Really enjoyed the story, the mechanics are smooth and feel responsive. Encountered a few minor bugs (there was a bit of lag in co-op, and cross play between console and PC is unstable), but nothing that is a hindrance to playing.
Liked the game until the story ended and expeditions started. Server Connectivity is just bad. You can't even play coop without laggs and crashes. Wont say anything about the wipes lol. Performance is not the best and should be worked on too becuase there are some bugs that make the fps drop everytime. They unnecessarily nerfed some character skills that made the game way more fun imo.

This game works amazing well, no crashes or disconnections . I will recommend to buy this game. Outriders have endless replay ability . There is amazing four classes with three pathways . Endgame is just mode : Expeditions. I wish could be more in endgame modes to play . Pvp not recommended in this game.
    • Great graphics
    • Great campaign
    • Challenging
    • Campaign too short
    • Customization is limited.
    • No offilne play.
The game is fine, it is not innovative but certainly very enjoyable. IG TOP. If only the servers worked properly!
