Description

Konami Digital Entertainment continues forth the ‘METAL GEAR SOLID V Experience’ with the latest chapter, METAL GEAR SOLID V: The Phantom Pain. Ushering in a new era for the franchise with cutting-edge technology powered by the Fox Engine, MGSV: The Phantom Pain will provide players a first-rate gaming experience as they are offered tactical freedom to carry out open-world missions.

Nine years after the events of MGSV: GROUND ZEROES and the fall of Mother Base, Snake a.k.a. Big Boss, awakens from a nine year coma. The year is 1984. The Cold War serves as the backdrop as nuclear weapons continue to shape a global crisis. Driven by revenge, Snake establishes a new private army and returns to the battlefield in pursuit of the shadow group, XOF.

The METAL GEAR SOLID team continues to ambitiously explore mature themes such as the psychology of warfare and the atrocities that result from those that engage in its vicious cycle. One of the most anticipated games of the year with its open-world design, photorealistic visual fidelity and feature-rich game design, MGSV: The Phantom Pain will leave its mark as one of the hallmarks in the gaming industry for its cinematic storytelling, heavy themes, and immersive tactical gameplay.

Key Features:
- Open-World game design allowing players ultimate freedom on how to approach missions and overall game progression
- Fox Engine delivers photorealistic graphics, thoughtful game design and true new-generation game production quality
- Online connectivity that carries the experience beyond the consoles to other devices to augment the overall functionality and access to the game.

i have more than 700 hours in this game and played almost all metal gear games i can say this one i a really good one even if some people say it's not complete it's a really nice stealth game hard to master but very very fun i 1000000% recommend this and even if you are new you can still play the game without worrying about not having played every other mgs game

  • no comic cutscenes like peace walker

Best Infiltration Game Ever. Mark my words.

I've played every Hitman and I feel like this MGS is best in my opinion.

Firstly because of its great strategy possibilities and the way missions are going is just so cool.

I'm at 4% of completion but still, I already love it.
  • "Why are we still here ? Just to SUFFER ?"
  • Solid Snake's Badassness
  • Hideo Kojima
I love this game, but the online mode is not that good.

The Story is really good and the Characters are beautiful designed.

The story is sad and brutal. I also love the Easteregg with the easy mode, it was funny
The game in itself is one of the most fun gaming experiences I've had personally. I love the mother base, the companions, and the practically infinite amount of freedom it offers to the player. The main story gets the job done, at least for me. But you most likely won't be going into this for the story anyway, not to mention it isn't even finished! Overall it is most definitely worth the 7 Euro price tag, incredibly fun, unique and challenging.
  • Very fun, although at times repetitive gameplay loop
  • Interesting mother base mechanics (FOB, Missions, Individual Soldiers)
  • In-depth character and equipment customization
  • A hundred different ways too approach missions
  • Animations are immersive and smooth
  • The Main story is about 90% finished, so as you're getting close to the epilouge, the story can get a bit confusing and weird
  • The shooting feels... unreliable at times
What can I say that everybody else hasn't already? This game is amazing. Every little completed task, no matter how seemingly small, feels so rewarding. If you're a fan of stealth games in general and have the patience (though you don't need THAT much), you should give this game a go.
  • Looks great
  • Runs great
This game is one of my favorite Metal Gear Solid franchize games.
CGI graphics are fantastic. Also screenplay is wery amazing.
Wery serious game scenario and wery interesting war facts about
War in afganistan.Charater Snake is wery amazing with all
his actions in battlefield. If someone wants to study and to know
Facts about Afganistan it should play this game.
Americans show that they are allways powerfull country in world.
Great game...

Love the game :D Kojima as per usual did a great job. Feels like a true master piece. It's a shame that we won't see any continuation of the true saga regarding mgs. You've got to try this game first, so you can understand what I mean xp
  • fast response
Amazing game, one of the best Metal Gear game ever made. The story is very long and there are a lot of extra missions and extra game modes that can keep you hooked up for more than 200 hours, after 100 hours i have completed just 50% of the game and i am still not bored. There are a lot of things to discover and there are a lot of tactics that you can use. This game is virtually a endless sandbox stealth game. Totally recommended.
Absolutley fantastic game. Kojima at his best. Kiefer Sutherland does a great job voicing such an iconic character. The base management is great cos it's there but not taking over half of the game. Still has an on and off serious tone with great story telling one minute and and a soldier saluting a poster on your cardboard box the next.
  • Snake
  • Feels great to get an S rank after a mission
  • Copping out by making the last few mission before end game mission repeats of earlier missions.
i love this game really good gameplay, the only thing missing more cutscenes like mgs 3 or 4.
And it's not expensive for good fun, really addictive to upgrade your mother base to the max and finally HIDEO KOJIMA
  • gameplay
  • Big Boss
  • not many cutscenes
This game is truely a master piece, if you have some money aside i assure you you are gonna get great story, art, graphics and gameplay with this game. You can play it full loud more or stealth. Multiplayer is also fun but comunnity is small, help us, if you do "you're pretty good"

Im MGS veteran. It all startet with MGS 1 in 1999. and I have immediately fall in love with this saga. I love everything about it. Memorable characters, unique story with alot of cutscenes, gameplay, voice actors, just everything.
I love every single game beside MGS2. MGS2 was ok I just couldnt get into that game.
I highly recomend Phantom Pain. For that price you are geting one hell of a game that you will play over 100 hours.
  • Graphics and Gameplay
  • Open world with alot of side missions
  • 100+ hours
  • Unique customization, mother base and army
  • Ocelot
  • David Hayter is not voice actor for Big Boss
  • Chapter 2 looks very rushed
  • No unigues boss fights
  • Konami didnt let Kojima finish the whole game
Great graphics and gameplay, would be 100/100 but lacking bosses. Felt amazing all the way through chapter 1 and the overall added a lot of the franchise. Only negative I have really is the lack of complete ending.
  • Story
  • Keifer Sutherland
  • Graphics
  • Chapter 1
  • Few bosses
  • David Hayter
  • Chapter 2
Bought Ground Zero before just to "test" the game it self.
Phantom Pain is the has all of GZ but more!

GZ was just a taste. Stealth is so good. love me the stealth.

Good game. solid price. tons of time to spend into this game.
Played this for about 80 hours and still have tons to do. i think im only at 18% of the story..
  • Stealth mechanics are super great
  • Open World
  • The endless possibilities of stealth/action
  • world feels very empty
  • i would like to see settlements with civilians and not only military bases all the time
Lots of hours on this game, great fun. A wonderful return to the MGS series, with hours of enjoyment to be had on the main missions, side missions, and even just experimenting. Completed Act I and i already have 60 hours on this game!

Would recommend.
  • Open areas
  • Variety of ways to complete tasks
  • Plentiful Side Missions and Open World activities
  • Companion Characters
  • Act II is not as exciting as Act I
  • Real time Research & Development is kind of annoying
Great game with excellent story and graphics, but the optimization is only good for the most part. However, it doesn't matter as I have a good PC, but if you're worried about whether it will be well optimized or not, my suggestion is to buy this game if you have the money.
  • Everything is great
  • Without negative points
I had planned it all very carefully. There were way too many guards still looking for me, and with sunrise coming shortly, I had almost no chance of making it out to the nearest safe landing zone with an injured prisoner on my shoulders. But I wouldn’t have to. During the night, I planted some C4 on this outpost’s radio communication equipment, the anti-aircraft battery, and most importantly, their AA radar. So I took a deep breath, detonated all three at once, called in a chopper, and watched it all unfold. After a short while, my ride swooped in, blasting an APC to bits with a ferocious rocket barrage, and cutting infantry down with heavy machine gun fire as I scrambled from my hiding place to the main courtyard, prisoner in tow. I hopped in with my precious cargo, and then jumped on the side-mounted minigun to keep the newly arrived reinforcements at bay as my chopper smoked and sputtered its way out of the hotzone.
  • No cons at all
Top game! Verdikt:

Amazing game!
Originally, I was not a fan of this series. This was actually my first MGS game (excluding Metal Gear Rising). The story is extremely good, but the second chapter is lacking some missions. Also, there is no chapter 3 (unfortunately). Buy this game!
  • Decent graphics
  • Amazing story (especially if you play the other games)
  • Impressive gameplay
  • Fun multiplayer (both FOB attack/defense and MGO)
  • Microtransactions (even though they ain't that bad)
  • No Chapter 3 (eh, blame Konami for this)
Best stealth game I've ever played. MGSV gives you immense freedom, runs well and looks incredible. However, missions can become repetitive after a while, especially the side missions. Regardless, it is a very enjoyable game and I would recommend it.
  • Runs well
  • Graphically amazing
  • Great sense of freedom and independance
  • Good stealth mechanics
  • Can become repetitive
Sandbox + open world stealth? Yes please! There is so much to do in this game, it doesn't seem like an end is anywhere near in sight. I keep finding myself coming back to this game. I'm already 100+ hours and only a third done.
  • Fulton Extraction
  • Base Micromanaging
Installing it right now! I've seen just about every review and I can't wait to dive in! This time around you will get lost in the side missions alone. From what I hear this game ends the series, which is a bummer.
  • It's Metal Gear
  • File size (28 GB)
Todo perfecto y el juego también, le falta algo de historia al juego, y algunas misiones se hacen repetitivas pero cada una tiene su dificultad añadida. Si eres un fan de la saga quizás notes que falte algo de contenido en la historia
  • Gráficos
  • Jugabilidad
  • Poca historia
Definately one of the best games to come out in the last few years, wide open worlds, great customization and freedom in gamestyle. The graphics are beautiful and the terrain is achieved in a such a perfect way, only compareable or even better than games such as Skyrim and GTA.
  • Graphics, ,
  • freedom
  • multiple, realistic,open worlds
  • Repetitiveness
  • Sometimes too linear
  • Not all gamecontroller features have a mouse alternative
  • Mouse pointer not fully usueable
This is how it is done!
Good story, that is not interrupted by the open world.
Decent economy, at no point do you have enough money to get all the toys you want.
Open and balanced gameplay , if you want to run around and play stupid. You can, but the game will punish you: AI will adapt, you will run out of money and MotherBase staff will revolt.

Hideo!
  • Story
  • Fulton :P
  • Open world
  • Adaptive enemy AI
  • Economy balance
  • Online play loads longer (pre game)
im giving this game an 80 fo the only fact i cant give it a proper rating until iv completed which seems like its gonna be a long time away as this game is huge. has a very tedious first opening hour/tutorial but hafter that it hits the open world and u play it how you want to, iv found sneaking the best way but sometimes that doesnt work and guns a blazing is the only way
  • best metal gear in years
  • open world freedom
  • sending rubbish back to motherbase
  • long overdrawn cutscenes again
This will always be a true Hideo Kojima game, regardless of what Konami says. This is the best stealth game I have played for years. Definate buy for MGS fans and those new to MGS series.

The only true let down is that Konami has prevented Kojima from adding to the game, which is evident in points.
  • Stealth
  • Enemy and Buddy AI
  • Weapons, Tools, and Items
  • Cinematography
  • Story ends slightly abruptly
  • Lack of Cutscenes
  • Cutscenes mostly stuffed into Tapes
  • Big Boss hardly talks (personal negative)
One of the best games ive played in a long time, and the best one in mgs series, everything works perfectly, mechanics are perfect, stealth is awesome, the gameplay is just perfect. Kojima has done it again and made one of the best game this year.
