Description

includes Resident Evil Resistance, a new 1 vs 4 online multiplayer game set in the Resident Evil universe where four survivors face-off against a sinister Mastermind.

Resident Evil 3 for PC is a follow-on from the remake of the previous Resident Evil 2, and a remake of the original 1999 game.

This remake looks to be just as popular as the previous one, the developers having chosen exactly the right features when choosing which to improve and which to leave alone. There is even more action than Resident Evil 2, as per customer feedback, although the game developers have not made this game as shiny slick and reminiscent of a Hollywood blockbuster as Resident Evil 6 – which is a good thing.

About the Game

Against the backdrop of a lethal ‘cannibal virus’ which seems to be transforming citizens into zombies, Jill Valentine and her colleagues in the police are trying to uncover the full extent of the nefarious doings of the evil Umbrella Corp. Carlos Oliveira is also back, the rough-looking mercenary also looking into Umbrella Corp’s actions and motivations for his own reasons. Their semi-uneasy truce adds spice to the game: can she trust him fully or should she hold back a bit? Only playing through will tell!

There are more open spaces than the rather restricted confines of Resident Evil 2, and this game gives players decent views of and around Racoon City which is rather lovely, even as it is also rather conflicted. Shops, sewers and subways are all explorable, and sharp-eyed players will spot immovable yellow padlocks in some places. Once Jill has learned one or two rather specific skills, she can return to these areas to see what is hidden behind them

New Way to Play

Each purchase of the game comes with a copy of Resident Evil Resistance – which is a new, seemingly unbalanced 1 versus 4 game. There is one Mastermind against four survivors all playing across one limited map.

The survivors aim to keep that appellation (i.e., survive!), while the mastermind is more of a distant overlord, placing traps and enemies and not actively engaging with the survivors. The Mastermind needs to play something of a chess game, anticipating the survivors’ movements, while they should behave as though everything is a trap!

Amazing Improvements

The character imagery is vastly improved for both Jill and Carlos. The characters’ clothing and body shapes are slightly less clichéd, and the graphics are immensely improved with the action looking quite like real filmed footage rather than computer rendered action. Jill and Carlos both look very realistic, almost as though they have been photographed rather than drawn.

This humanising effect however, doesn’t translate to Nemesis, the arch enemy, although he too has been improved, tweaked and modified! He is bigger and badder than ever, with awe-inspiring bulk and red-hot rage displayed in the tension of his massive shoulders, the clench of huge Thanos-like fists, and his many and sneaky ways to track you down!

New Move!

  • For this game you can now dodge away from a zombie, should it manage to sneak up to you and get closer than is comfortable.

  • If you time your dodge just right it will give you enough time to grab your gun and sort out the zombie, or run away if you are not looking a fight right now!

  • If a zombie does manage to lay its foul hands on you all is not lost – button mashing (pressing all the buttons simultaneously) can sometimes shake them off and give you precious moments to make your escape!

  • Resident Evil 3 for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

This remake of the classic survival horror game is a great update to the original, with improved graphics and gameplay mechanics. The game's storyline is still engaging, and the horror elements are still as effective as ever. It's a great choice for fans of the Resident Evil series.
    • Impressive graphics and sound design
    • Tight controls and satisfying combat system
    • Engaging storyline with well-written characters
    • The game is shorter than some fans may have expected, with a campaign that can be completed in around 6-8 hours
    • Some fans may be disappointed by the changes made to the game's story and characters
    • The game's AI can be frustrating at times, with enemies that can be difficult to avoid or defeat
Really fun game to play. really love playing resident evil games , and RE3 remake is one of the best. Awesome experience, it was fun while it lasted. Its not very long but I don't really complain. It didn't feel short or rushed. Maybe its not the best in terms of original RE gameplay but i rly like it

Instant gaming is always legit and instant just view my profile. I have been using them for ever.

I'm trying to get this to run on an iMac M3 under parallels, which currently doesnt support MS Directx12.

Under these circumstances I havent been able to get RE3 to run.

Hopefully, in time a Apple silicon version of DirectX12 will turn up.
    • `Could work
    • ... but doesn't't
Good game but very very short!
Great version of the remake. Campaign is very short, I'd prefer if they separated the Campaigns like Resident Evil 2 Remake bit it's still worth playing
    • The remake graphics are excellent
    • Game is very short
    • Tyrant Nemesis is relentless
It's a good game. I would recommend saving your store credits for the RPG, it's fun.
A great game with a great story and funny gameplay. Graphic is really good and character development is well done. Only 1 thing: it's short. But it has a high replayability so, I guess it's ok. Recommended if you like post-apocalyptic like games

This was a great remake! Fun with tons of replay-ability, graphics are great, weapons feel good and the game mechanics are all there for hours of fun.

You can complete the main story super fast and then chase some achievements
I really want to give the game a thumps down, because there is so much missing from the game, they made to many short cuts and for some stupid reason capcom had another company make the game within capcom WTF... smh anywya its something tpo play once or maybe twice.

but I lost respect for capcom on this.

this game is not worth full price
    • pretty game
    • ok controls
    • game on sell for cheap
    • not the whole game, and is heavly scripted
    • missing so many areas from the game (wait for sell)
    • too damn short of a game should of been RE2 remake DLC
this discaount is so good, the service is really good. and now i have the resident evil 3 remake on my steam account. i didn't knon if thats will be real but it is. 100% real, and i gonna play it know
I loved the game! The new RTX Update was a great face washing.

I already have RE2 Remake, RE 7, and soon i´ll purchase RE8 and RE4 Remake

Some things need to be changed like physics and that wierd coin economy to get some weapons
    • Great Graphics
    • Smoorh Gameplay
    • Nice Skins
    • Plastic physics
    • The use of coins to unlock weapons
    • No good DLC´s or 0 DLC´s
very good game, very good graphics and Performance. The AI is smart as always and the guns and the inventory management is perfect. I hope that they will remaster resident Evil 2-6. good Story and Characters

this game is okay at best. it's game play is almost the same to re2 remake, it's levels aren't very inspired considering it is a remake and not an original game so copying the sewers and literally naming the final part NEST 2 makes it basically fail as a remake. re2 remake had good gameplay, this game is that just with the dodge mechanic which is nice but it makes the game far less scary because if you get good with the dodge you can dodge everything. nemeis isnt very scary because he is always scripted. gunplay is nice. the worst thing is the fact that the story is 2-5 hours at longest. i was exploring and backtracking and i finished the game in 2:30:00 which is really fast for someone who is exploring. my first playthrough of re2 remake was 6 hours with exploring and backtracking and there is 2 storylines. overall the game is okay at best.
    • gunplay
    • it's resident evil
    • it's cool
    • jill is a badass
    • carlos and jill story is cool
    • story is too short
    • literally copied from re2 remake while re3 original didn't even have some things this game has
    • isn't much of a remake
    • nemesis isn't scary and is scripted
    • jill is a bit too badass, there is a lot of action
i love this game really ,it is great if you try the game, my favorite since childhood, in its new form - I hope it will have an update that allows cooperative play within the same story environment, adding other stories and new tasks in the future within Raccoon City - and adding the cell area of the umbrella laboratories.
    • it will be more lovely if have online Co-op in story game mode
Resident Evil 3 is a great game. It may be a very linear experience, especially when you compare it to the remake of Resident Evil 2, but it feels much more impactful on the story than it's prequel and Nemesis as "big bad" is not only creepy, but menacing as well. A must-buy for Resident Evil fans!
    • Great Story and World
    • Menacing "Big Bad"
    • Very linear
    • Unrealistic scenarios with the main characters
A really good game, strictemely only for the fans of the RE franchise, and sadly a bit too short.that's what I would have said if I was a big jerk.seriously good replayability with funny mod

    It's really good game
    • all of rest
    • the noze of nemesis
I really love playing resident evil games , and RE3 remake is one of the best .A liitle more action than the RE2 but it s ok ,not like RE 5,6 which sometimes were unplayble and disturbing with those punches ...10/10 for me and i don t want to hear again the same thing about the duration of the game cause the original RE3 was also about 5-6 hours
    • graphics
good game if you buyed on IG-
Sequel of the remake of Resident Evil 2 wich is way better .
if I had to buy it full price on steam shop I' d been disappointed
It is a good game but , in my opinion a little short .
is worthy the price wich Instant games sells it .
    • good graphic
    • too short
Awesome experience, it was fun while it lasted. Its not very long but I don't really complain. It didn't feel short or rushed. Maybe its not the best in terms of original RE gameplay but i rly like it
    • Beautiful Game
    • Smooth Gameplay
    • Not a lot of content beyond the rather short story
    • Quite pricey for a 6h experience (referring to the 60€ price tag)
Very good remake. I am speedrunning this game and it is really funny. Graphics are fine, gameplay is little bit weird if you want to speedrun. Story is good, characters, models, post process, and everything looks really great. Recommending
    • Good for speedrunning
    • Graphics
    • Too much RNG
Resident Evil 3 is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It was released on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 3, 2020, and serves as the remake of original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis that released for Playstation in 1999. It follows the same story of Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira attempting to survive & escape the Raccoon city after the zombie apocalypse while being hunted by the intelligent Bioweapon Nemesis.

    Gameplay:
The story of RE3 takes place 24 hours before Leon and Claire arrive in Raccoon City in Resident Evil 2. Unlike RE2, where you could choose to play as Claire or Leon with their different stories & endings, RE3 has only one walkthrough as Jill Valentine (except midgame you get to play as Carlos!). The game begins with a small live-footage giving you a summary of the T-virus pandemic and how the Umbrella Corporation is creating the Nemesis, A Bioweapon to kill Jill who is the last surviving S.T.A.R.S member in the raccoon city. In the very beginning, the player temporarily controls Jill in a first-person perspective in a nightmare, and then in her apartment, where right off the bat Nemesis breaks in and tries to hunt you down. You end up getting saved by Carlos, who takes Jill to the subway station where you meet other members of U.B.C.S trying to save as many survivors as they can and getting them out of the city, sadly the power went off. Their Captian asks for your help, and you accept the mission and take off to restore the power, that’s where your real ‘adventure’ starts.
Just like RE2, the player have to explore, outsmart & defeat enemies in the game. Ammo, first aid & hip pouches are scattered all around the city along with gunpowder & chemicals which can be used to craft handgun/shotgun ammo and explosive/flame rounds. The game is more action-heavy now, so it stashes you with ample of ammo and healing items, so you don’t necessarily have to micromanage anything. RE3 remains remarkably light on its horror elements too like puzzles, jumpscares or hidden zombies in the dark, etc are not as common as before. So to keep the pressure and tension on point, it uses Hunters, pale head zombies & mainly Nemesis to maintain that fear throughout the game. Nemesis chases you around right after you restore the power and spawns anytime in places unexpected or directly in front of you. Although Tyrant in RE2 was easy to fool and you could track him easily, Nemesis is very unambiguous and is always one step ahead of you. But a lot of your run-ins with Nemesis that start with cutscenes always end up in the form of boss battles which leaves you dissatisfied.
Later in the endgame, Umbrella decides to nuke the city to contain the infection but offers Jill a chance if she can manage to synthesize a vaccine/cure. So the story unfolds with only one true ending, and besides the gameplay, you’ll witness events that provide additional backstory to stuff you saw in the previous game and thus linking them together. E.g. revisiting the R.P.D police station as Carlos.

    What’s Different?
Unlike the original RE3 which had fixed camera angles and tank controls, the game now is locked in Third-person shooter perspective with an Enormous graphics overhaul similar to RE2 remake. Carlos now has messy hair and unshaven beard & Jill wears pants rather than the classic miniskirt costume (this can be customized however (wink, wink). Unfortunately, some of the most remarkable locations from the original game have been cut from the remake like The Clock tower, The RC Park and Dead Factory leaving Resident evil fans hanging over revisiting these places & ruining their nostalgia.

    Combat:
The Combat hasn’t changed much since RE2. The player can use a variety of firearms ranging from handguns to a rocket launcher to defeat the enemies. Regular Zombies are still clumsy, they trip over each other along with its waggish ragdoll physics, but they hardly react to shots and popping them isn’t as satisfying. There are fewer gun upgrades, but the pace of the gameplay doesn’t make you particularly desire for them.

    Graphics:
Compared to the older game, there has been a massive improvement in graphics. The game looks visually stunning as you’d expect from the Capcom’s new RE Engine. It’s now equipped with modern & realistic character models, new redesign of Nemesis and much more. A lot of assets and textures are reused from RE2 remake, but the game still looks fresh and feels fantastic. Streets of Raccoon city look beautiful with all its neon lighting to give a cyberpunkish vibe. Claustrophobic corridors, dark alleyways, well-designed blood splashes and splatters add up to its immersive atmosphere. The environments aren’t particularly creepy, but with its fast-paced gameplay, they aren’t meant to be.

    Verdict:
Part of the reason why the RE2 remake was so successful was its replayability, multiple endings, proper use of horror elements, slow pace, jumpscares and puzzles that made the gameplay rewarding. RE3 seems to lack a bit of all of them because it became a fast-paced blastin’ action shooter game with a story that feels too linear and features only one ending. Resident Evil 3 remake is not a bad game in itself; instead, it feels immensely rushed with little replayability. If you don’t mind that, it is an excellent Resident Evil experience with its immersive atmosphere, action-packed gameplay and the nerve-racking Nemesis as a villain that’s one of a kind. If you haven’t played RE2 remake, I surely recommend to try it out!

    • Characters Design
    • Soundtracks
    • Achievements
    • Gameplay (somewhat weak)
    • Missing Puzzles (like in the old game/s)
Been wanting this game, apart from Resident Evil Resistance just for a little play with friends, overall the game brings good quality as expected from the 2 Remake, although it doesn't give us many challenges or more hour play, u finish the game like in 5 hours or less if u dont want the collectives and such, not many enemys and the Nemesis is dope but doesn't give u that UNF! wanted the graveyard to have a more deep meaning like the original and some other puzzles to solve....not disappointed tho it was a joy to play it.

Keep the good work and have fun guys!
    • Graphics, Characters + Acting, Fun to Play
    • Too fast to end
    • Not many enemys
    • Not many puzzles
I got this game as a gift, so thanks to the person who bought this game for me from Instant-gaming.
And thanks instant-gaming for sell this game with lower price than steam.
    I really appreciate that.

    Now about the game:
Well, i don't have much to say, it's a bad remake, if this is a stand alone spin off like Revelation, it will be an acceptable game.
Bu this is a remake of an legendary game, so this only deserve 6-7/10
    • Good graphics and stunning new characters designs.
    • Music is fine and fit in-game moments.
    • Relax-able for new comers players.
    • Achievements on steam are easy to get.
    • Weak gunplay, not satisfied.
    • Linear sub-horror game than actually horror game.
    • "Resistance" mode is meaningless and have alot of server bugs
    • Cut off alot of original game contents.
    • nearly no puzzle in the game.
    Another masterpiece remake by Capcom!

First of all: I know this is a common complaint, and yes, it is short, but hey, the original one and Resident Evil 2 weren't that much longer, either, so I don't really see a problem with this. It's a fun return to a classic, but at the same time it manages to stay fresh and even enhance the 1999 version with some new directions.

Granted, it might not be as surprising as the RE2 Remake, and uses basically the same survival horror formula, but I think fans like myself will love it. There's horror, action, an exciting story, characters to cheer for, and a badass enemy following you around - pure, authentic RE experience!

Oh, and for the price you also get an asymmetrical-multiplayer mode with Resident Evil Resistance, so that's cool, I guess (I admit I haven't played it yet).
    • Beautiful graphics
    • Classic and fresh at the same time
    • Quite short
As a remake its not as good as we expected (I mean its different than original RE), but as a normal game it is very good. I recommend this game, graphics and sound effects are very good, Nemesis looks perfect and very scary.
