Description

Resident Evil Village for PC is a survival horror game. This incarnation is the tenth main release in the franchise and amazingly, the 26th including all the spin-offs and remakes, making Resident Evil one of the most prolific games out there! Resident Evil Village is sometimes called Resident Evil 8: Village, and the developers have spotted that they can create a hidden puzzle within the title, which is rendered with roman numerals for eight VIII instead of the Vill of Villagers. About the Game

The game is first-person game, that allows for six-player online multi-play when preferred. The game is set a few years after the previous game, Resident Evil Seven, and Ethan Winters is once again the protagonist along with his wife, Mia, also from RE7 (see the list of important characters, below, for more).

Ethan’s inventory items are kept in a virtual ‘briefcase’ which he keeps with himself at all times, paying periodic visits to a vendor called Duke who sells weapons and healing items. This version of the game places a greater focus on exploration and combat than the other versions of the game, but the underlying story is both fascinating and compelling (and scary too, in places!).

VIII is a bit more open world than its predecessor, so you can explore and stretch your character more than was permitted in the strictly linear progress of the previous game.

Ethan is surprised when Chris suddenly visits and disrupts his peaceful life. Events play out in such a way that Ethan has no choice but to chase after Chris in search of answers. Ethan tracks Chris to a remote village – that of the title of the game, obviously – and realises that things are not all they seem…

The nearby castle is home to a nearly three metre tall vampire woman, with a nest of hungry daughters, while spooky… things, let us call them, flicker at the edge of Ethan’s vision, darting out of sight when he tries to catch a proper look at them. Throw enormous blue werewolves into the mix, and you would think that Ethan’s hands are full enough – but there are more shocks to come!

RE: Verse Bonus

Free to all Resident Evil Village owners, is access to Resident Evil RE: Verse, the online game. This game incorporates all the fan favourite characters and locations from the whole franchise, and don’t worry if you get killed. In a fun twist, if you die in RE: Verse, you instantly respawn as a bioweapon, so you can get beautiful karmic revenge on whoever killed you!

Aside from coming with VIII there is no real connection between the two, certainly not as far as storyline goes.

Dramatis Personae

  • Ethan Winter – the protagonist of the game, he has survived RE7 and settled down to a comfortable married life until events force him up and about

  • Mia Winters – one of the main protagonists of RE7, alongside her now-husband Ethan, with whom she is expecting a baby

  • Chris Redfield – a shock blast from the past, Chris pops up and violently disrupts Ethan’s contented life. What does he really want, though?

  • Alcina Dimitrescu – a cheerful and beautiful vampire, Alcina puts Hagrid to shame, standing a hefty 9-foot 6 tall. That’s scrape-the-ceiling tall and duck-through-every-doorway tall

  • Alcina’s Daughters – not quite as tall as their Mama, these ladies are somewhat lacking in the beauty department too!

  • Werewolves – where did these ferocious howling creatures come from? Who controls them?

  • Resident Evil Village for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

I only bought this game because my friend recommended it to me. I didn't think that it was so good. I finished playing it today, and I loved it so much, it's my favorite game.

Resident Evil Village is an incredible mix of horror, action, and mystery that keeps you hooked the whole way through. From the creepy Castle Dimitrescu to the terrifying House Beneviento, every part of the game feels unique and unforgettable. With brutal enemies, stunning visuals, and a gripping story, it’s easily one of the best Resident Evil games ever.
I liked the game, I'm from România and the curency in the game was in Lei, that is very rare in games! Good work Capcom!
    RE is goated
awesome, for me, one of the best RE ever
It's a continuation from RE7 without sounding obvious

It's not a bad FPS, werewolves, vampires

    Meets machine guns.
I saw whole game before buying it, it was still fun to play through, but somehow it felt easier than RE 7
    • Presented with choices for weapons
    • Gloomy
    • Has jump scares
    • No cons unless you dont like the pros.
Amazing game with high repeatability. RE fans will not be disappointed. The game can be scary at times but mostly it is more action oriented than the Resident Evil 7. Maybe the ending is a little rushed but overall a very good game.

Its a nice sequel to 7, This game does change a bit more from the horror aspect to a more action survival aspect. BUT it does have nice touches of horror survival and has a segment dedicated to just horror puzzle solving. Overall the game is very fun and worth to get.
One of the best Resident Evil games I've played so far, with interesting story, amazing setting and some of the background of the story, would recommend to everyone. As for Instant Gaming, delievery on top, no problems at all.

    Excellent game.

The setting is breathtaking and the story is moving. Greata ction and nice bonuses. I recommend playing Resident Evil 7 before to get the whole , but the game has a summary of what happened.

The gameplay feels nice and it's entertaining. Mechanics are easy and now with the Gold Edition or with the Winters Expansion it comes the third person mode. It feels nice and comfy!
    • Easy mechanics
    • Good story
    • Mercenaries mode
    • Sometimes short
The first review I ever wrote on a game was Resident Evil 2, which I also gave a 10/10. It's been some time since I wrote that review, but after having played Resident Evil Village a year after its initial release, it thought it would be appropriate to return with yet another review on this franchise.

I'll start off with saying that although I am more a fan of the third-person gameplay of Resident Evil 2 and 3, I found the change to first-person quite refreshing and immersive. The setting and gameplay compliment the first-person perspective in a way that adequately augments the horror aspects. Although I found RE 2 and 3 quite scary, they did not actually stir up genuine dread in me; the first-person aspect does that!

I found the length of the game fitting, and I like that fact that the RE games aren't that long. It makes the experience more enjoyable since you are not in a rush to complete it.

This game checks off all of the RE boxes: good gameplay, fantastic immersion, decent puzzles, and keeps the player invested. However, unfortunately, like all most other RE games, the storytelling is horrific and cringe. Some of the voice actors, the main protagonist especially, sound like they are voicing a budget anime series. It is awful and cringe, yet unabashedly hilarious. The pistols were disappointing, and I found the sound of the guns firing rather dull.

The game looks amazing and plays well. Don't play it for the story, and try to avoid the DLC if you want to save your money, unless you want to try the new third-person mode. Would definitely recommend :)

    8.5/10

    • Was excited the whole time and thoroughly enjoyed it
    • Bad storytelling
    • Cringe and embarrassing storytelling
    • Gun sound effects were dull and lackluster
One of the best of the franchise! Must play!

The aiming system isn't so good but you can play perfectly the game!

Really loved to play this game. 10/10 would like to forget everything about it to get the experience again <3 For everyone who thinks: F*ck i didnt play a resident evil game before.... i didnt too (just watch a recap of the 7th part or smth or maybe buy it and play it for the context) but i really enjoyed it :D

The game is really scary and good but a lot of fun so I enjoyed it a lot. The game requires a decent computer or else it will lag or look bad, so keep that in mind. And also if you buy the deluxe edition Re: verse hasn't come out yet. 2022/04/04

Very good.I love it so mutch. It is a really good to play. The game make fun and the story is really cool. I hope that they do more Horror in the game again, but that game is make with a lot of love. I hope they make a Outbreak Remake.
    • Good atmosphäre
    • Good Story
    • Little bit to mutch action at the end for me
As a longtime fan of the RE franchise I absolutely recommend this edition. After playing nearly all of the releases this particular rendition has a great story that is as close to RE4 in its endeavor than any other. Relatively long story, tons of extras and stacks of loot. This is, I think the best of the series so far.
    • A nice balance of action and suspense
Resident Evil Village is a very nice game with a good graphic and a very good sound design. But this game isnt very scary and dosent really deserve the title "Horror Game". The story is good but you need to play Res7 to get it all.

it scared the hell out of me, allthough the story is not that long.

not many games gives you the feeling of being chased by anyone, but this one does.

it is recommended to play resident evil biohazard before this one
    • jumpscares are really scary
    • short story
Decent scares that get more and more thwarted by awful gameplay- and sadly it's apparently meant to be a game so i really can't recommend this. The protagonist moves slowly as hell, can't trafe properly and the means by which to navigate the environment is a joke.
    • scares
    • the fact that it's a game x'D
Done in an instance and very reliable. I've checked so many other websites but none offer prices as low as the ones you find on instant gaming.I love it. This is the third game I've bought via this site and I have no complaints as of yet

As someone who has played all the classic resident evil games. Resident Evil Village is the closest to resident evil 4 in spirit. It is a absolutely Great Resident Evil Experience for old fans and people new to the franchise. Certainly worth the Price with tons of content and possibly one of the best stories in this franchise.
    • Very engaging
    • A relatively long story mode
    • Very nice gameplay loop
    • Tons of Loot
    • a great mix of horror and action
    • during certain parts in the castle you get minor frame issues against the bug sisters
    • no Field of View slider
9/10 for the game 10/10 for instagaming for the delivery every time :) , us for the game good gameplay, good story, amazing grafics the only negative it only took me 9 something hours to finish the game . was hoping for more but you cant have everything in this life

A must play for everybody. You like horror, play this. You dont like horror, play this. The game is not very long but it's solid from start to end. Maybe a bit longer than RE7. The story is quite complex (you discover a lot of stuff about RE lore by reading stuff), the graphics is amazing, the atmosphere phenomenal. It's not very original, though, is copying a lot of thing from other game and movies but it also has some unique features that will blow your mind at the end.
    • Ethan is actually really bad ass (you'll see)
as great as expected, you did an amazing job AGAIN, Capcom!

introducing a new system - a merchant, was a bit confusing at first, but works great,

sticking to the story even tho the setting is different than any other RE game, would definitely recommend!
    • terrifying, nightmare-inducing, a true horror experience
    • great, immersive storyline
    • none
    The game is incredible.

It’s very creepy a the world is super detailed, I did not finish it but I think I will enjoy it all to the end.

The enemies are super powerful and they take a lot of bullets to kill
    • Ethan is sh*t.
Haven't finished it yet but I'm 9hrs into the game, taking my time to explore every corner of every spot.

Amazing story, graphics, locations, gameplay... everything is great.

The smoothness of the character's movement and aiming, just great.

Very well done Capcom ONCE again!
    • Everything
    • Cannot think of any single thing yet
The next generation of survival horror rises in the form of Resident Evil Village, the eighth major entry in the Resident Evil series. With ultra-realistic graphics powered by the RE Engine, fight for survival as danger lurks around every corner. Years after the tragic events of Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Ethan Winters has started over with his wife Mia, finally living in peace and putting the past behind them. However, Chris Redfield, the legendary hero from previous Resident Evil games, suddenly disrupts their life, throwing a devastated Ethan into a new and twisted nightmare in search of answers.
