Description
Take back the city of Tertium from hordes of bloodthirsty foes in this intense and brutal action shooter. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is the new co-op focused experience from the award-winning team behind the Vermintide series.
In the depths of the hive, the seeds of corruption threaten to turn into an overwhelming tide of darkness. A mysterious and sinister new force is seeking to take control of the entire city. It is up to you and your allies in the Inquisition to root out the enemy before the city succumbs to Chaos.
As Tertium falls, Rejects Will Rise.
Built on the legacy of Vermintide 2’s best-in-class melee combat, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide introduces intense WH40K gunplay to the mix. Master the balance between ranged and melee combat as you fight through a slew of enemies. Feel the impact of each swipe, swing, and slice of a chainsword, or fry some flesh with a lasgun.
Darktide is a co-op game. Wandering too far, risks punishment by foes looking to immobilize or capture stray Rejects, such as the slavering Chaos Hound or the Moebian Trapper. Once you fall prey to such foes, only your teammates can save you! More than that, your innate toughness – your determination to press on through the pain – only recharges when you are in the proximity of your strike team.
Create your own, unique character and customize their physical appearance, voice, and origin. Choose your class to determine which unique traits and skill sets they will make use of in battle. Will you be a seasoned veteran of the Imperial army, a snarky outsider, or a fiery zealot? The choice is yours.
Step into the violent, dystopian world of Warhammer 40,000. From boiling hot industrial factories to the decaying water maintenance zone afflicted by constant acid rainfall - Tertium Hive is a hard and unforgiving place even at the best of times. Your role is to serve the zealous Inquisition by embarking on missions to exterminate the threats lurking in the depths of the hive city, or die trying.
Adapt to the erratic whims of Chaos with conditions- mutators that add a spontaneous challenge to your mission. Your team must learn to adjust, adopt new tactics and change up their loadouts to face these ruthless challenges.

> Crafting system is unfinished and slowly being rolled out still for a ''finished game'' is unacceptable
> Despite the recent patches Crashes are still prominent as well as optimisation still being a joke
> Fat Shark (Developers) prioritised Micro-transactions over making sure the game was stable on Day 1
> Tons of content that was promised still has yet to be implemented
> Still no new option to pick which level we want to play so if you want to play a specific mission good luck as you can be waiting hours since Fat Shark have not added the option to let you choose
> Since launch only 1 new mission has been added and well if you want to play it refer to my previous point
> Once you reach lvl 30 which is the max lvl so what do you get for putting all that time in to this baron wasteland a single charm and portrait for your efforts so what do you do now absolutely nothing as this game has no end game content not a single thing as once again Fat Shark has prioritised making money as apposed to focusing on end game content and everything else
> Cut scenes which are not even a minute long telling you how disposable you are as if they don't mention that every 5 minutes already which feel so pointless and are such a waste of talent and just feel rushed I really do hope their is more to it as it really is disappointing
> Since this game is gaining popularity Toxic players are slowly on the increase and with no report system it's excruciating
> Mediocre Character creations since you'll end up finding hundreds of other players that look identical to yours
> Heavy amounts of FOMO (Fear of missing out) you see an outfit in the store and with the way the outfits work if you don't buy it you'll panic you won't see the outfit for a while again so out of desperation you buy it it's such a disgusting system and extremely predatory and needs to stop just let people buy the outfits whenever they want
> HDD or SSD no matter what you install the game on loading times are basically the same thanks to the atrocious optimisation
> Missing weapons which are only now being slowly rolled out specifically the Ogryn weapon which was only just added despite him holding it on the cover of the game
> Sadly due to a recent hotfix my graphic settings keep being reset meaning I have to keep setting my graphic settings every time I launch which is super frustrating and adds more issues again
> Many arn't aware but Fatshark used to be an Indie studio till they got brought by tencent and now the game has many Gacha systems in place for example having to wait for the store to refresh as apposed to just getting higher and higher level gear it has this annoying RNG system unlike Vermintide 2 where the game would just offer you better items here you could be waiting 50 minutes or more for a certain item or weapon assuming that once the crafting system drops it'll work exactly the same as the armoury again adding more frustration for players
> Not enough cosmetics are offered unless you're willing to fork over money for better ones and just honestly not enough variety
> Depending on the player you may agree with me or not but one Issue I have is in Vermintide 2 you were able to acquire items for other characters such as if you played Markus Kruber you could get a box at the end that could include weapons for Kerillian but now if you want weapons you have to play the specific class which just ends up adding far more grind to the game which again another Gacha system implemented since the Tencent takeover
> I also saw that we were supposed to able to earn Aquielas through playing as someone mentioned it on the discord and now 0 mention of that although to be fair Fatshark have not really been communicating at with the players which again leads to more issues
So what exactly are the benefits to picking this game up you may wonder well
> Solid Gameplay
> Great Voice acting
> An Amazing OST especially Disposal Unit which plays when going head to head with the Boss on the Assassination missions
> A decent amount of Special units which all look very cool
> So far their is no P2W but I guess that may change in the future
So for me the general consensus is you should absolutely stay away from this game for now I truly want this game to succeed but as usual Fat Shark just like in Vermintide 2 release games which upon release feel like they're still in beta and only in a year will we see if this game is what it was supposed to be at launch the only reason to pick the game up would be either on a sale or to get a head start but I sadly cannot recommend this game in any way and after this massive let down of a game i'm honestly considering making this my last Fat Shark purchase as this game is honestly unacceptable and the 2nd time they have pulled this kind of thing they had several delays and both an open and closed beta and after a week after launch the quality is just not good at all several delays and it's barely sub-par and only now are they deciding to fix everything they should have at launch they should have kept the early access tag on it as this 100% needed more time in the oven and feels incredibly rushed.
- Solid Gameplay
- Awesome Soundtrack
- Great Voice acting
- Buggy
- 99% Of content promised is missing
- Full of Predatory Microtransactions
While the game might have some potential, the sheer amount of crashes makes this game not fun at all. You are more focused on when the next crash is going to happen than having fun.
