Description

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is a standalone prequel to the critically acclaimed first-person action-adventure shooter, Wolfenstein: The New Order. The adventure, which spans eight chapters and two interconnected stories, features the hallmarks of MachineGames – thrilling action, immersive story and intense first-person combat. As war hero B.J. Blazkowicz, arm yourself with new weapons such as the bolt-action rifle and grenade-launching Kampfpistole as you attempt to thwart the advancing Nazi war machine, and take advantage of duel-wielding pipes that can be used for wall climbing – or for vicious take-downs of never-before-seen Nazi adversaries.

STORY

The year is 1946 and the Nazis are on the brink of winning World War II. In an effort to turn the tide in the allies’ favor, B.J. Blazkowicz must embark on an epic, two-part mission deep within Bavaria….

Part one of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood - Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves - pits BJ Blazkowicz against a maniacal prison warden as he breaks into Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound. In part two – The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs – our hero's search for the coordinates leads him to the city of Wulfburg where an obsessed Nazi archaeologist is exhuming mysterious artifacts that threaten to unleash a dark and ancient power.

The game is solid and funny to play. It is short, just 10 to 15 hours played in Uber difficoulty but it's higly replayable.
Play the game on easy/medium difficoulty the first time to enjoy the story, the cutscenes and a little bit the fight without shouting terrible things, then play it again in higher difficoulty. Complete differente expirience
In parallel universe where nazis wining a war stand as a one unit as B.J. and try to deflect whats inevitable. Become a weapon of freedom heart and win a war against raging psychos and Helga who tries to raise a hell in our world.

Rugged and raw gameplay feels like never before. Great level desings that throws you into chaotic locations from german castles to burning cities and haunting catacombs. Eliminating enemies in dire situations feel so real. You can take stealth approach or go gun blazing which is no always the best solution. Enemies range from walking mechanical freaks to elite soldiers that can raise more deadly situations. There is always a plan that can go wrong but you cannot go wrong with your trusty weapons. SMG, Bombenschuss, Schockhammer and many others will perfectly make you dance in war field. The best part is when you think you are outnumbered you can always draw second Assault rifle. What is more cooler than wielding two Assault rifles, make to control two super shotguns in each hand. Maybe later in future. Story told in some dialogues with many characters and represented in document that you can collect around the world locations. Tons of collectibles and secret locations that can literally throw you back into past. That’s right there is game within a game.

Everything from a to z in this game speaks loudly and proud for what it is. It reminds me of good old days of Return to castle Wolfenstein. The only thing was missing maybe original soundtrack from that game. Sadly this is the last bastion of true great Wolfenstein game from machine games. Cause after this they felt in a dirt and created one of the most disrespectful game not only to a fans but to BJ too. That abomination was called Wolfenstein Youngblood.

Enjoy Old Blood and New order cause the future is unclear. “I've seen something like this before” B.J. where there is no coming back to greatness.
I recommend visiting the PC gaming wiki if you want to play any "Id tech engine 5" games. Very well done standalone wolf game. The game is capped at 60fps.

If your fan of series like TNO, TNC I easily recommend this one.

TNO is a prequel to the 2014 game.

TNO is more focused on gameplay and less on the story.
  • Good gameplay with occult theme.
  • Story is similiar to the 2001 RTCW
  • Challenge modes and hidden nightmare(wolf 1992)levels are nice addition.
  • Short main story
  • Id tech 5 texture streaming not that good and 60fps cap
  • Might need tweaking for modern GPUS
This is my favorite game of the hole franchise. Unfortunately has a short storyline. It is the updated
version of the old one Wolfenstein return to the castle or something like that. I can promise you that you'll not get bored playing this game. Have fun :)
  • Good storyline.
  • Very good gameplay
  • A lot of bugs.
  • Short storyline
It is the new Wolfenstein but it also has that old school vibe to it like exploring the castle was somehow quite nostalgic. This game also takes place before the New Order even though it was released later.
  • Gameplay
Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, a prequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order, is a quality first-person shooter (FPS) that ticks all the boxes, so it definitely gets my recommendation. However, I did miss the emphasis on storytelling and the variety in gameplay of the first game, so I would rate The Old Blood slightly below The New Order. This a matter of personal preference, of course. If you prefer all action all the time, The Old Blood may be more to your liking than The New Order.
This is a great game, The way it should be played. Great graphics, Outstanding game play. Never a dull moment, Because the cut scenes are kept short. The big surprises are few and far between, as it should be. Not giant robots in your face throughout the entire game. The new order was ruined by this.
  • Great graphics and sound
  • Action packed
  • No negative comments
Great game, perfect prequel to The New Order. I loved it, even if it was hard, and I didn't even played it on über. Everyone should play this game who wants a good fps with a great story and great fight system. Very good game.
  • Great story
  • Amazing characters
  • Sometimes too hard
  • little bugs and glitches
Well, it is fun game but short game very short game. When i finished the game i was so dissapointed like "was that it ?" was waiting for my pc to play this game fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun
  • you can kill nazis
  • short
Nice first person shooter! Nice graphics and game engine, very solid gameplay that let you immerse in wolfenstein game's history and of course have the opportunity to kill some nazi's along the way. A must have in your game collection!
  • Strong game genre
  • Nice graphics
  • Short duration
I actually enjoyed this one a little more than New Order, don't ask me why. Perhaps it's because I found it a little less serious and just a way to have some fun. They introduce zombies halfway in, but in a way that's not too corny and it works. Great value.
  • Fun
  • Nothing
This game is so cool. If you want buy it. You dont lose money if u buy it . I play campain 9-10 hours so when you finish a campain you can play a CHALLENGES and collect some golds for secret ! GO BUY IT!
  • short cun scenes, fast killing , no mercy!
  • LONG DOWNLOADING
Amazing game! Really intriguing storyline and great assault / stealth mix. Graphics are really amazing, very smooth framerate even on my mid-end PC. Played through in 19 hours, but I uncovered only the minority of secrets.
  • Amazing storyline
  • Lots of fun
  • Sometimes minor graphical weirdness
