Description

You are a slugcat. The world around you is full of danger, and you must face it – alone. Separated from your family in a devastating flood, you will need to find food and shelter between terrifying torrential downpours which threaten to drown all life. Climb through the ruins of an ancient civilization, evade the jaws of vicious predators, and discover new lands teeming with strange creatures and buried mysteries. Find your family before something makes a meal of you!

Inspired by the simplicity and aesthetics of 16-bit classics, this survival platformer requires clever decision-making, both to catch your own prey and to avoid the jaws of hungry predators. Each ravenous foe in your path will be cunning, vicious and always on the hunt – eager to sink their teeth into you, or even each other. As a small, soft slugcat you must rely on stealth and wit rather than force: learn the ecosystem and turn their strengths to your advantage. Maybe then you can survive… Rain World!

You either hate this Game or Love this Game.

The first time i touched this Game i dropped it and haven't played it until half a year later.

And i'm glad i did, because now it's one of my absolute favorite Games of all Time !

I really grew attached to this Game and it took me a while to realize the amazing worldbuilding and Lore behind it.

For me personally, this Game is A MASTERPIECE and i will never get it out of my Head.

Similar to Majoras Mask, this Game has a Type of Melancholy to it, but in the same time this Melancholy is comforting.

The Game is extremely powerful in it's own Way.

I can understand negative Views on it, it's not a "Meta" Game so to say - it's something Unique.

I've been gaming for 25 Years now on a lot of different Consoles and Platforms and this Game still made it into my Top 5 of all time.
  • Phenomenal Worldbuilding
  • The Ecosystem is "alive" even if you're not in the room
  • Stunning Artwork and Music
  • Not for everyone, you will not be taken by the Hand here
  • Difficult, you have to figure out Stuff by yourself
  • Can feel unfair sometimes, but is worth the struggle
If you like game with diffuiculty cranked to "reality" then this game is for you. And dont forget, it's OK to die again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again. This is the perfect ecosystem simulator.
Honestly this Game took me by surprise I never play games like this but I can say it's an exception would recommend 100% Bite the bullet even look at the reviews I haven't really heard much negative feedback

the game is great unique and pretty difficult and unfair but its not the worst once you seek your teeth into the game and get good as they say
bought for a friend who is having lots of fun with it
  • atmosphere
  • movement
  • creature design
Too Difficult for me so it's bad
I cannot undertand it. I tried to play it and I don't find a scope in it.

I should play more maybe, but for the moment I am very disappointed.

The ambient is intriguing but all of the art are confusing and in general it seem very difficult to follow and understand what you are supposed to do
  • Beatiful ambient
  • No clear objective
  • Difficult to interpret
One of the best games I have played in a long time, the soundtrack and artstyle are amazing, the game doesn't really hold your hand and you are free to explore and play however and as much as you want. This game isn't for everyone though, you need to have patience and be willing to learn from each encounter, the learning curve is big and changes for every area and you will probably have to die a lot in order to get used to each new enemy and how to deal with them. This game is not about the player but about the ecosystem of this mysterious world filled with background lore in order for you to make your own assumptions about what the message is and what actually happened to this rainy world.
  • Unique and amazing artstyle
  • Good soundtrack
  • A lot of places to explore
  • Player free to play the way they want
  • Many creatures to explore
  • Jumping/parkour controls can take some time to get used to
