Story

Four years into the brutal military occupation, America is on its knees.

Philadelphia - once the birthplace of Independence - has become a ghetto, where surveillance drones and armoured patrols keep the population at heel, crushing any dissent with savage force.

Her once-proud citizens live in a police state, forced to collaborate just to survive, their dreams of freedom long since extinguished.

But in the badlands of the Red Zone, in the bombed out streets and abandoned subways, a Resistance is forming. A guerrilla force, determined to fight for their freedoms despite overwhelming odds and ignite the second American Revolution.

But Freedom always has a price…

Overview

Homefront: The Revolution is an open-world first person shooter where you must lead the Resistance movement in guerrilla warfare against a superior military force.

A living, breathing, open world responds to your actions - you and your Resistance Cell can inspire a rebellion on the streets and turn Occupation into Revolution, as oppressed civilians take up the fight.

But your enemy has the advantage - superior technology, firepower, heavy armour and air support. You must learn the art of guerrilla warfare – ambush, sabotage, infiltration, deception – and fight a running battle through the war-ravaged suburbs of Philadelphia.

And the single player campaign is just the start – in Co-Op you and your friends can form your own Resistance Cell and become renowned as Heroes of the Revolution.

Well this Game is only for people who love action and don't get sick of it only in the next two hours but for me its one of the best Games I've ever played and I can only strongly recommend it for people who love Action
The game is really bad, a lot of issues with performance and such. The steering is really weird and its not possible to control nice, for some reason its not fluent. The whole gameplay is really bad too. The game is not unplayable but it gets boring after one or two hours. Cant recommend it!
KONISHEWA SENSEI EST GENTIL AVEC NOUS LORSQU'IL NOUS LÂCHE UN FLATULENCE DANS NOTRE VISAGE IL ADORE FLATULENCÉ CAR CELA LUI PERMET DE RESTER EN VIE. KONISHEWA SENSEI EST BEAUCOUP RÉPÉTITIF ET CELA LUI PERMET DE LÂCHER DE PETIT FLATULENCE SUR HOMEFRONT ON N'AIME HOMEFRONT MAIS IL N'EST PAS PARFAIT MALHEUREUSEMENT A CAUSE DE CES PETIT FLATULENCE. MERCI KONISHIWA SENSEI. HOY !!!

  • Realy nice Graphics
  • Open World
  • Bad Performance
  • Bad KI
  • Bad Port from the consoles
Not the best game in it's genre but certainly not the worst. Deserves better than some of the horrible reviews it has gotten! The story is a bit dull and the characters don't really stand out so you couldn't care less if they live of die.
  • Kill ALL the North Koreans
  • Gameplay is solid
  • Graphics are good
  • Dense and vast world to explore
  • Can kill innocent civs
  • Limited choice of weapons
  • missions get repetitive
  • Too linear for an open world game
  • No RPG elements
The main issue with the game is the performance issues because of the bad optimizing. You get random lag spikes and the fps is usually low. If it starts to rain, your fps is screwed.

Except from this, the game is very recycled. Pretty much all of the game's mechanics have been seen before in other games. The most original thing is the gun customization. However, it is really big. Every weapon can be turned into 3 different weapons and different scopes and other attatchments can be applied. The good part about this is that most of the weapons are useful, but there isn't really a lot of options.

When it comes to the story it is quite dull. You don't really feel attatched to any of the characters and the missions are pretty standard. Fetch that, defend that, sabotage that, etc. Capturing bases isn't really a challenge, and gets very repetitive. The most awful things is the yellow zones where there are civilians. Here you run around cutting wires and turning on radios to get the peoples support, but you get like 2%-3% for each thing you do and it feels like it takes forever.

The only part about the game that is above decent is the map design. The enviornment looks great and the graphics are decent, but the way the map is built when it comes to things like side alleys and alternative routes, it is pretty bad. Especially in the yellow zones.

The co-op is actually really fun, but currently there are only 6 missions and people don't play 2 or 3 of them, so that gets boring pretty fast.

All in all, this game is not worth getting unless you're a real fan of it. It can be fun for a little while, but most likely you will get bored quite fast.
