Description

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora for PC is a first-person action-adventure game. Players take on the character of a Na’vi orphan who was taken in by the RDA (Resources Development Administration – colonists who came to Pandora for rare minerals, amongst other things) and raised as a soldier. The orphan awakens from suspended animation to find that fifteen years has passed, and that they are in an abandoned RDA site.

About the Game

From this point, the player must embark on a journey across the Western Frontier, a part of Pandora not yet seen or explored in the films of the same name. The player must uncover their origins and raise a rebellion of Na’vi against RDA, who are still busily going about gathering up as many of Pandora’s natural resources as they can.

The story arc of the game is loosely tied to the movie’s story arcs, but because the Western Frontier is a previously unexplored territory, it functions very well as a standalone plot. In your guise as a Na’vi, you will spend a fair amount of time hunting, foraging and then cooking up the resulting foods – credit is given for unusual combinations and successful recipes. These peaceful moments can be a pleasant contrast to the actiony bits of the game.

The Nitty Gritty

As well as solo play, this game supports two player co-operative multi-play, so you can get your best friend to be your wing man as you explore Pandora and turn back the forces of the RDA.
As mentioned above, the game is only loosely connected to the movie plotlines, and so you will enjoy a standalone narrative that is quite unrelated to the events seen in the Avatar movies, and you can change outcomes if you disagreed with them – that is always deeply satisfying when it’s possible!

Even though you are a Na’vi of Pandora, your playing character is customisable so you can create your own look. As your character is a disenfranchised orphan, you will have no tribal affiliations to dictate your mode of dress or war paint, etc. As a stranger in your own homeland, it is up to you to remake yourself as you please, even if – later in the game – you rediscover your people.

Where Will You Play?

Within the hitherto unexplored regions of the Western Frontier of Pandora, you will discover three Na’vi clans and try to find a place where you feel at home. They are:

  • The Zeswa Tribe: to the north of the Western Frontier, on the Upper Plains you will find this tribe. They live in beautiful rolling hills, somewhat reminiscent of Middle Earth’s Shire, sharing the land with immense Direhorses. You too can learn how to tame and ride one of these huge elephant-sized beasts – but first you have to get the Zeswa to trust you

  • The Kame’tire Clan: to the east, as far as it is possible to go, this secretive clan lives in hiding. But you must impose on their hospitality if you are to find your roots…

  • The Aranahe Clan: if you long to fly, albeit with the help of a flying beast, head west to the Kinglor Forest (which is beautiful!) below the floating mountains. The Aranahe clan bond with Ikrans, banshees which can be tamed and flown – that is, after you have named and fed it, that is. Once it is yours, you can customise it and explore the beautiful planet from above

  • Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora for PC is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.

Not even a Avatar fun but was blown away by the world the immersion. Fun combat and a ton to explore. Only downside is perhaps the mainstory thats a bit weak, but on the other side there is plenty of fun sidequests.

The game is very boring at the beginning and very hard at the beginning too many MECs around. The beginning starts like Farcry 3. Escaping the same stuff all over again. Nothing new. They could done a better job. So much confusion. They wanted to look different than the Farcry. But it is Farcry in the Avatar universe. The economy in the game is terrible. The Clan Favor system is terrible and confusing for new players. Combat is terrible. People love stealth kill animation. You need to pick up the skill and stun MECs to do melee kill. There is no stealth kill animation on Infantry. They are just like ANTs. I bought it because I love Ubisoft games and Avatar Movies. But people who are not Avatar fans and love Ubisoft games. Just go play any Farcry and wait until this game is on sale. It is not worth 70 euros for the standard edition. More like 15 euros. There are better games for 15 euros, like Sons Of The Forest. I force myself to play at the beginning. I was bored to death. When you reach level 10 or more. The game starts to be too easy. Even on hard difficulty. You will 1 shoot almost everything with Heavy Bow if you hit a weak point.

What is good about the game? Graphics, Open World, and Flying Mount. In the end, it is better than many new games, because if you see what people selling these days like the game "The Day Before". Avatar is a good game then. I rate the game 8/10. The graphic is 8/10, there are older games that have better graphics like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Metro etc, Flying Mount, and Open World 8/10. Mount can't even walk around. When you call it, just stand there. Even MMO games have better flying mounts. Story 5/10. The idea is not for rate it is James Cameron's idea. I don't know, they had everything and failed so badly. I don't even want to talk about bugs. Took me a few hours to finish the level 10 quest because NPCs spawn from underground. The doors won't open. Vent doors won't break. And many others. The game needs a big patch fix. Sometimes is unplayable. Many people are not like me. I want to see what the game has to offer. I think 70-80% of people won't even finish the game. And they are already asking for a season pass. In this state right now it is not worth it. That is my honest opinion about the game.

This game needs a Vr platform.

Immersive Experience: VR allows players to be completely immersed in the game, which can improve the overall gaming experience. The feeling of being "inside" the game increases the sense of reality and empathy with the environment.

New Gameplay Options: The use of VR opens up new possibilities for gameplay, such as full-body movements, interactions with objects and environments, and a stronger sense of presence.

More Realistic: VR can make games more realistic, as players can experience the sensation of being there, which can improve their reaction and engagement.

Improved Performance: VR can improve player performance, as they can feel more connected to the game and be more attentive to their actions.

New Monetization Opportunities: VR can generate new opportunities for monetization, such as sales of additional content, sponsorships, and merchandise.

Broader Audience: VR can attract a broader audience, including people who are not typically gamers, as the experience is more accessible and appealing. They can eventually become new players.

Increased Social Interaction: VR games can include social interaction features, such as cooperative play or online competitions, which can increase player interaction.

New Narrative Options: VR allows for more immersive and innovative storytelling, using techniques such as 360-degree battles or virtual expeditions.

Skill Development: VR games can help develop skills such as motor coordination, spatial perception, and problem-solving.

Improved Competitiveness: VR can make games more competitive, as players need to focus more on movements and reactions to survive in the game.

Increased Game Lifespan: VR games can have a longer lifespan, as players can play again and discover new things in each game session.

Inspiring Creativity: VR can inspire creativity in developers, allowing them to create more innovative and unique experiences.
    • This game has the potential to be played in VR
    • Immersion
    • History
    • Not a vr game
    • does not diverge for futuristic platforms
    • low interactions
If you love the movies than you're going to love this, if not then just go play far cray 4 or wait for sale you could try it on Uplay+ for $15 which gives you 1 month to finish the game, overall I would rate the game 7,8/10
A solid game with a good story. The only drawback I found is the gameplay loop; the side quests are quite repetitive and sometimes take a long time to complete, similar to other Ubisoft Openworld games. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the overall experience of the game
Recomended.Love the world how it look like, game world is insane , but the fact that u dont get to be a human and mess up that beauty and destroy navis bother me too much i miss this from the other avatar game that was out long ago i wish there was option to be human ..

    17th December 2023.Good game.

This is just the most beautiful, flabbergasting, interesting and all the good adjectives you can imagine of all the games ever. You really feel like you are a Na’vi and just the fact that you learn a lot more about them than what we did in the movies is fantastic. It is not too hard but you still have to think and have some strategy. I play with the graphics in minimum because my pc isn’t that good and it is still the most beautiful and detailed game I have. I absolutely recommend it. As a big avatar fan, you really won’t be disappointed.
verry long loading screens. a lot of glitches. just not worth youre money

Cool game, beautiful world. Basically Far Cry but on Pandora and I don't think it's bad. OFC could be better but still very nice game to play
Avatar is a beautiful game, and the graphics is so gorgeous to look at.

You will be surprised to se the forest and how beautiful it is.

Avatar is primarily a game for people huh like to discover, cuz your are spending so much time finding collectables.

But the main story is bad, they could have done some more and if your only have your focus on that the game is done I no time.

So if your ask me the price is to expensive.

The PC version is unplayable due to a lot of bugs. can't pick up stuff, you have to go back multiple times because the game can't track the player so you can't progress through the mission. part of the map is not loading such as doors, vents, enemis and frendlis.
    • not made for PC
Again, very poor optimization of the PC version. What I expected from it was fulfilled to the last detail. The PS version runs perfectly fine. But this cannot be said about the PC version, even by mistake.
    • Open world
    • Optimization, sound drops out, controls sometimes don't respond, fps drops
