About the Game

There is no mission as such, no on-screen instructions telling you to proceed in one direction or another: the game is truly open world. So gather your wits and pick a direction and go for a wander to see what lies in front of you!

Tools start off very basic – tying a rock to a broken off tree branch gives you a simple axe: which can be used to make more low-grade tools. Simple tools can be used to make more complex tools and pretty soon you have a good toolbox at your disposal which enables you to craft high-end items all the way up to grenade launchers, industrial strength forges and even forcefields.

No Story is the Best Story!

The game does not have an overall story arc, unlike most other games, but instead asks you to set your own goals: you can climb the highest mountain on the island, build your dream mansion or pick a whacky goal that suits your own tastes.

It is a survival game and if gathering resources was easy, you would soon lose interest. Getting the ingredients you need, and making the tools to craft them properly, all takes a lot of time: and time is in short supply when predatory dinosaurs, angry beasts and even other humans are all out to get you!

Taming animals is cool, and relatively easy: simply knock them unconscious and then feed them until they regain their health (Pro-tip: this is not a recommended way to treat anyone, human or beast, in real life!).

In the early stages, this is a positive pleasure, but the higher-quality animals take longer: sometimes way longer in real hours than is comfortable to wait, so make sure you set your chosen companion onto the path to becoming your buddy before you get on with other tasks and chores that will help to pass the time.

Mod is the Way to Go

Along with the open world single-player mode, the game is freely available for modders to do their thing, and if you run the game as a server, you will find that the game runs even more smoothly, with animals being tamed in mere seconds and plenty of resources close at hand. Look out for officially authorised mods.

Ways to Play

Single player: wake up on the beach, naked and soon to be afraid. And then decide what you want to do with yourself. The open world format is just that, completely open and you have full agency to do whatever you want to do. If you can survive the predators and enemies, that is!

Multiplayer PvP: be wary when you’re just starting out as more established players will have tools and weapons that your character, as yet, has not even learned to dream about and there is no way a stone axe will win against a commando, armed to the teeth with high-powered rifles, laser sights and a grenade launcher all ready to tear down the fragile walls of your hard-made home

Multiplayer PvE: set yourself against the terrain in this player-versus-environment mode but do be aware that the busiest servers will have plenty of other players’ buildings and territories already mapped out. Be prepared to trek quite far to get to somewhere that you can break ground and start building

I love this game, mods make it even better. Who doesn't want to ride a t Rex into battle leading an army of raptors while your tribe soars overhead with dragons. It's the best thing since sliced bread.

I have wanted this game for years now I finally got it on steam it only took about like 2 minutes and boom the game started downloading. I would give the website 10/10 so I would recommend this website for anyone looking to buy a game for a cheap price.

Absolutely one of the best games I've ever played! If you get bored, just isntalled some Mods and the fun goes on. And who doesn't love dinosaures? They are so much fun to tame, ride, feed and breed :)

The best game out there if you ask me, with the free maps alone, you have thousands of hours of playtime when you "clear" the maps all. There is so much to do, the quality is less but this certainly does not make the playing experience any worse.

Hosting your own servers is less popular, there are often problems and often updates that cause problems.
But if you play on a properly functioning server, it is really a great game.

And with the many DLCs you can still have several thousand hours of playtime, it's really unbelievable that a game can be so extensive.

I will say 1 thing
People can run with 180% movement speed on officials and most servers are laggy as sht
You WILL be playing on low graphics if you want to have more than 30 fps even with a 1080 (when playing online) cause there are huge bases and a lot of animals in there
Taming takes too long and pvp is not the most balanced

But for some fkin reason i still play this so , watch some videos before u buy it

Actually good game, but if you can become upset very easily I don´t recommend you this game. Like believe me I have some practice with it lmao. Otherwise this game is absolutely brilliant! Play it with friend, you will have better experience.:)

It's entertaining and an outstanding game to play with your friends. It is a harsh environment, but it is worth playing you get to experience how the dinosaurs walk around, and it's exciting. All in all, it is a beautiful game, and I recommend it to anyone!

This game is super fun. I like it so much I got it for 3 of my buddies so we can roam together. Its got the survival, pvp, builder aspect with freaking Dinosaurs. If the graphics were better I would give it 100.

The game is not what i expected, firstly the graphics are so bad they gave me nausea while playing, no joke.
The IA is spongy, it looks like you're fighting against robots with a dinosaur skin... All along the game you have no objective or so, you just farm to have better equipement and a good base which can (& will) be raided by some full stuffed players. The 3rd person camera really s*cks, you can't fight/loot/ride while on. I will not talk about all the cliping/graphic glitches...

The only good things are the crafting system similar to Rust, the metabolism system where you can die from cold, fatigue, poison, etc... & the interesting biomes.

The worst game I have ever bought or played, I cant believe I waited for this and all of the DLC to install.
It is unbelievably terrible, with no actual point in the game.

A good game to play with others or yourself however the base version is designed around team (tribe) play in the terms of limited amount of item unlocks and difficulty. Very easy to modify this though to make it more single player friendly. The graphics are great and each new creature seems fresh. I was blown away at points at their size or model design, it is an extremely good looking game. The natural hair growth is a nice touch too. The fact you can, and should, tame dinos which each have a purpose, from land/air/water mounts to harvesters and attackers, adds a lot of depth to learning about what works and what does not.

The difficulty curve is extremely punishing and sometimes out right unfair. One example of this is spawning in a designated "easy" area of the map to be immediately attacked by a dinosaur as you come out of your wake up animation and find yourself dead before you can do much more than look at your predator. This happened on various occasions and with all your loot being tied to your corpse which after a second death no longer has a marker, it becomes a frustrating matter which is extremely off putting. I had to restart on multiple occasions and as my skill improved, so did my survival time however that does not make it player friendly.

ARK ist wirklich ein tolles Spiel. Man hat viele Möglichkeiten. Jedoch ist es z.B. im Singleplayer relativ langweilig deswegen meine Empfehlung: Spielt mit min. 1 mitspieler da sonst das Spiel leider relativ langweilig wird.

Very badly executed/optimized game! I have an i5 8400, GTX 1060 Gaming X 6gb and 16GB of RAM and the game still runs awful, even on the lowest preset you don't get much FPS. Except the performance of the game there are tons of bugs aswell.
