It's an old - school , super unfair game. The story looks really cool, intense, and interesting, but the unfairness seen in the game, either by not having more information about the overworld, or about the monsters in-game , is really a kick in our ego . Yes, I know it is supposed to be hard, but there is a difference between a difficult game and an unfair one.

Having 20 hours of gameplay focused on a working strategy for a random boss, at a "random" time, makes you watch your team being desecrated without any possibility of adjustment , only by completely changing your team with monsters whose powers you are not sure of specifically . It hurts, it hurts really bad. I played it for about 30/40 hours and had to give up because I wasn 't enjoying the game .

I was frustrated and stressed, so I stopped playing and won't be touching the franchise for a long time. I do not know if the more recent games are fairer , but I was scarred for life.

Again, it is a really good game, with a superb story that gets you interested in finding out more about the world and the characters. But I really cannot condone a video game that confuses challenge with an unfair way to use " luck , " or in this case , the lack of it.
