Opis

Conan Unconquered is a strategy game set in the uncivilised world of Conan the Barbarian, a world in which brute strength is a major advantage and delicate politics have no place by the fireside. That world is deep within the Hyborian times, a time after the sinking of Atlantis but before the beginning of recorded history: a time of sorcery and swords. The player must build and guard a stronghold, fending off enemies and trying to survive.

About the Game


The premise is very simple: build your stronghold, fortify as best you can, and then resist the seemingly endless onslaught of ever more powerful hordes of enemies that rush down upon you like wolves upon the sheep in the fold, as the saying goes.
You have several tasks apart from smiting the hordes as mightily as possible. You must manage your resources, always a consideration when you are under siege conditions, you must improve and advance your technology, weapons and skills so as to keep up with the increasingly powerful opponents, and you must recruit new soldiers into your command to ensure that you can cover all your bases should the enemy step up their attacks.

You can play in single-player mode, but the best way to play is in two-player co-operative mode where you and a buddy can work together, covering each other’s backs and working in harmony to achieve your goals. While you share a base, you can work separately, constructing buildings and each amassing your ‘own’ army to work towards the common goal of defeating the many swarming enemies.

Game happens in real time, but unlike in real life, you can pause the action in order to issue commands to your army, and also to begin construction works. Battles, when not paused, are brutal and bloody, with everything, including dead bodies being used as projectiles – all the better if they are plagued with some nasty disease to spread amongst the ranks!

Helpful Hints on How to Win


  • Identify the choke points. If you can get the enemy horde all bunched up and slowed down, you have the perfect opportunity to wreak some carnage without wasting resources, man power or ammunition

  • Use the geography of the land before you build. If you are hard up against a cliff or drop away, then that is a wall build that you can save yourself

  • Watch the mini map like a hawk. As soon as the next horde is announced they will appear on this map, giving you short, precious moments to get your soldiers and defences into place before they threaten to overrun your fortress. Pro tip: they usually come from one direction at a time, in the beginning, covering each of the four cardinal points before things get a bit more hectic

  • Veteran soldiers are more valuable, the ‘older’ they are. This means that it makes sense to invest as many assets as you can in making soldiers in the early moments of the game: the more veteran the soldier, the more skills he has, and the more value he will be

  • However! Invest wisely as the worst way to die is to run out of one type of resource because you have got the balance wrong and invested too much in another type of benefit. Therefore, upgrade modestly and only when you are sure your fragile economy can take it
