Far cry 3 é o regresso ao topo de uma grande franchise inicialmente criada pela Crytek (criadores de Crysis e Rise: son of rome), desta vez a cargo da Ubisoft Montereal.

É um jogo Open-World, com um enredo envolvente, muita exploração e uma componente multiplayer muito forte;possuindo uma campanha exclusiva em cooperação, e um modo competitivo bastante bom.

Jason é a personagem principal, ele e os seus amigos, fizeram uma viagem a um arquipelogo tropical, acabando por ser capturados por um grupo de piratas que ocupam a ilha. Um dos grandes pontos fortes de Far Cry 3 está no vilão Vaas que demonstra uma personalidade raramente vista e bastante desenvolvida para um vilão, que dá um propósito a todas as acções que fazes no jogo.
Far cry 3 oferece horas de grande entretenimento tanto para jogadores Hardcore como para Casuais; seja explorando cada detalhe do mapa gigantesco apresentado, ou simplesmente mergulhar na história cativante apresentada.
