About the Game
You can play single-player or go into co-operative mode with up to three friends in local or online co-op play. Choose your character from four available hero classes (more about which see below) and get going, using some of the world’s most powerful magical artefacts to wage – and win, if you can – epic battles.
The game is set firmly in the Warhammer universe and you will get up close and personal in the iconic Nuln or Praag. You will have plenty of opponents with over seventy different types of monster to slay, using over one hundred and eighty skills which all can be boosted and powered up when you use your bloodlust to get you out of the trickiest situations.
Do not fear if you have played through the game once: updates regularly insert new side missions and tempting sub-story lines to follow, so you can remain absorbed in the game for many long happy hours. You can even play offline if you want to, the game does not require a permanent internet connection.
Pick Your Favourite Hero Class
Choose your favourite hero class to play as, and do be careful making your choices as these can make all the difference when you are playing, especially once you have climbed as high up the skill tree as you possibly can! Each hero has different skills, weapons and even clothing and there is a moderate amount of customisation permitted:
Elessa the Wood Elf Archer: she thrives on ranged attacks with her bow and arrows, but can also summon tree spirits and dryads to perform her bidding and help her to cut the enemy down to size. She is also skilled at using traps. Her skill levels start at one, and move up to three as you train and upgrade her. She also has Active and Passive skills and you are able to upgrade these and equip her with six of the former and three of the latter to provide an all-round comprehensive skill set with which to battle through
Bragi Axebiter the Dwarf Slayer: Just to be clear, this guy is a dwarf who is a slayer, he is not a slayer of dwarfs! Slayers are berserker type fighters who become stronger the longer they fight, and Bragi is no exception, fighting through hordes of enemies as though they were butter, and wielding his blood-hungry axes to devastating effect
High Elf Mage, Elontir: Elontir is of royal blood and is an elvish prince, but this guy is no coddled weakling. Rather, he is one of the daring and dashing princes of old, when land, loyalty and hearts were won through combat, not by politicking and flattery. He is both master of magic and of fire, and can unleash both on his unsuspecting enemies should he deem it necessary. He was exiled from his homeland and travels seeking redemption
Imperial Soldier, Konrad Vollen: the quintessential man with a sword, Konrad Vollen travels the world, fighting monsters, righting wrongs, and simply doing his best to do the job in front of him. Again, he has various skills and weapons that can be upgraded to give him more strength, stamina and other advantages
Warhammer: Chaosbane is available for purchase on Instant Gaming for a fraction of its retail price. You will receive an official key and be able to play the game in seconds. Play smart. Pay less.
