Description

One of the most acclaimed RPGs of all time. Now ready for a new generation.

You are Geralt of Rivia, mercenary monster slayer. Before you stands a war-torn, monster-infested continent you can explore at will. Your current contract? Tracking down Ciri — the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world.

Updated to the latest version, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt comes with new features and items, including a built-in Photo Mode, swords, armor, and alternate outfits inspired by The Witcher Netflix series — and more!

Behold the dark fantasy world of the Continent like never before! This edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been enhanced with numerous visual and technical improvements, including vastly improved level of detail, a range of community created and newly developed mods for the game, real-time ray tracing, and more — all implemented with the power of modern PCs in mind.

Trained from early childhood and mutated to gain superhuman skills, strength, and reflexes, witchers are a counterbalance to the monster-infested world in which they live.

• Gruesomely destroy foes as a professional monster hunter armed with a range of upgradeable weapons, mutating potions, and combat magic.

• Hunt down a wide variety of exotic monsters, from savage beasts prowling mountain passes to cunning supernatural predators lurking in the shadowy back alleys of densely populated cities.

• Invest your rewards to upgrade your weaponry and buy custom armor, or spend them on horse races, card games, fist fighting, and other pleasures life brings.

Built for endless adventure, the massive open world of The Witcher sets new standards in terms of size, depth, and complexity.

• Traverse a fantastical open world: explore forgotten ruins, caves, and shipwrecks, trade with merchants and dwarven smiths in cities, and hunt across the open plains, mountains, and seas.

• Deal with treasonous generals, devious witches, and corrupt royalty to provide dark and dangerous services.

• Make choices that go beyond good & evil, and face their far-reaching consequences.

Take on the most important contract of your life: to track down the child of prophecy, the key to saving or destroying this world.

• In times of war, chase down the child of prophecy, a living weapon foretold by ancient elven legends.

• Struggle against ferocious rulers, spirits of the wilds, and even a threat from beyond the veil – all hell-bent on controlling this world.

• Define your destiny in a world that may not be worth saving.

If you haven't played The Witcher 3, you're missing out big time! This game is amazing - the story is epic, the graphics are sick, and the gameplay is so much fun. And guess what? It's super cheap for all the entertainment you get. Don't miss out, go play it now!
A fantastic game that truly captures the essence of Andrzej Sapkowski's books. A must-play for all those who enjoy his work and those who love RPGs. Even after over 200 hours with The Witcher 3, it still tempts me to press on. There’s so much to explore that one could play it for years.

**The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition** is a masterpiece in open-world RPG gaming, setting an extraordinary benchmark for narrative depth, world-building, and player freedom. Even years after its initial release, it remains one of the most immersive and beautifully crafted games ever made, and the Game of the Year Edition, with its complete set of DLCs—*Hearts of Stone* and *Blood and Wine*—offers even more content, solidifying its position as an essential experience for any RPG fan.

From the very first moments, you are drawn into a richly detailed world, filled with complex characters and gripping stories. The game follows Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster hunter, as he searches for his adopted daughter, Ciri, who is being pursued by the ominous Wild Hunt. The main quest is emotionally charged and intense, filled with meaningful decisions that impact the world around you, but it’s the side quests and open-world exploration that elevate *The Witcher 3* to a legendary status.

The world of *The Witcher 3* is vast and teeming with life, whether you're traveling through the war-torn plains of Velen, navigating the political intrigue in Novigrad, or enjoying the breathtaking beauty of Toussaint. The environments are beautifully designed and feel alive, with dynamic weather, day-night cycles, and a meticulously crafted ecosystem. Villages, forests, and cities feel real, inhabited by people who have their own lives, problems, and stories. The game creates a true sense of place, where every corner of the map holds secrets, mysteries, and challenges.

What truly sets *The Witcher 3* apart is its writing. The dialogue and storytelling are some of the best in gaming, filled with humor, tragedy, and moments of genuine emotional weight. Each character you meet, from minor NPCs to major players, is multidimensional and memorable. The side quests are not throwaway filler but mini-stories that often outshine the main plotlines of other RPGs. Decisions matter, and there’s rarely a clear "right" choice, with moral grayness being a core theme of the game.

In terms of gameplay, *The Witcher 3* offers a refined and deep combat system. Geralt’s abilities, such as swordsmanship, alchemy, and magic (Signs), give you many options to approach each fight. The RPG elements are rewarding, with a robust leveling and crafting system that encourages experimentation. The monster contracts, which pit you against mythological creatures, are particularly satisfying, requiring strategy and preparation.

The Game of the Year Edition bundles the base game with two expansion packs, *Hearts of Stone* and *Blood and Wine*, both of which add dozens of hours of additional content. *Blood and Wine*, in particular, is almost a full game on its own, introducing a new region and story that is as engrossing as the main game.

Visually, *The Witcher 3* is stunning, with detailed character models and breathtaking landscapes. The musical score complements the atmosphere perfectly, blending Slavic folk music with epic orchestral compositions that heighten the emotional impact of the game’s many memorable moments.

In conclusion, *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition* is an extraordinary journey through a richly realized world. With its intricate storytelling, complex characters, and vast, beautiful world, it is a must-play for anyone who loves immersive RPGs. It stands as one of the finest games ever made, and the Game of the Year Edition offers the definitive version of this modern classic.
  • stated above
one of the best open world rpg games not to its realism but to its detail in the world
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt is the best game i´v ever played.
  • The best story ever
  • Greatest Characters
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is a landmark in the gaming industry, lauded for its exceptional storytelling, expansive open world, and deeply immersive gameplay. Developed by CD Projekt Red, this action RPG has set a high bar for quality and detail in the genre.

One of the game's most celebrated aspects is its narrative depth. Based on Andrzej Sapkowski's book series, "The Witcher 3" follows Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter, on a quest to find his adopted daughter, Ciri, while navigating political intrigue and battling otherworldly threats. The story is filled with complex characters, each with their own motivations and backstories, making the world feel incredibly alive and authentic. The writing is top-notch, with dialogue that is both witty and poignant, often leaving players with difficult moral choices that have significant consequences on the game’s outcome.

The open world of "The Witcher 3" is another major highlight. Spanning multiple regions, each with its own distinct geography, culture, and challenges, the game offers a vast playground for exploration. From the war-torn lands of Velen to the bustling streets of Novigrad and the picturesque isles of Skellige, every location is meticulously crafted, brimming with life and detail. The dynamic weather system and day-night cycle further enhance the immersion, as the world reacts to these changes in realistic ways, influencing both the environment and NPC behavior.

Gameplay in "The Witcher 3" is equally impressive. The combat system is fluid and strategic, requiring players to use a combination of swordplay, magical abilities, and alchemy to defeat a wide variety of enemies. Each monster has specific weaknesses that players must exploit, often requiring preparation and research, which adds a layer of depth and strategy. The RPG mechanics are robust, with a skill tree that allows for diverse character builds, and a crafting system that lets players create and upgrade weapons, armor, and potions.

Quests in "The Witcher 3" are particularly noteworthy. Unlike many games where side quests feel like filler content, every quest in "The Witcher 3" is thoughtfully designed and contributes to the world-building. Side stories are often as compelling as the main narrative, featuring unique characters, unexpected twists, and moral dilemmas. This attention to detail ensures that players are consistently engaged, no matter what they are doing in the game.

The game's presentation is also outstanding. The graphics are stunning, with highly detailed character models and environments. The attention to small details, such as the way Geralt's hair moves or the reflections in the water, adds to the overall immersion. The music, composed by Marcin Przybyłowicz, perfectly complements the game's tone, with haunting melodies and epic scores that enhance the emotional impact of key moments. Voice acting is top-tier, bringing the characters to life with performances that are both nuanced and powerful.

In conclusion, "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" stands out as a masterpiece of modern gaming due to its exceptional storytelling, immersive open world, and engaging gameplay mechanics. Its attention to detail, from the richly developed characters to the meticulously crafted environments, ensures that players are drawn into a vibrant and compelling world. Whether you're following the main storyline or delving into side quests, "The Witcher 3" offers an unparalleled gaming experience that continues to captivate players long after its release.

2024 AND STILL BEING ONE OF THE BEST GAMES IN YEARS AS SINGLE PLAYER

Vast of missions (no repetitive) and huge world to explore

>100H of game is absolutely incredible.

I bought it was ps4 at the beginning and now for PC again.
  • Vast wolrd
  • no repetitive missions
  • >100h gameplay
  • single player
I was bored by The Witcher. It felt like a TV show, not a game. The gameplay was too casual, easy and repetitive. The story and characters were not my cup of tea. They seemed to target either fantasy fans or romance fans, but not me. I expected something different from this game, but I got a Netflix series with a blond guy with a big sword. No, thanks.
Literally the worst game I have ever played...

I have never played a game with a main story that is sooo boring... The game can be resumed on this: go to point A looking for Ciri, Ciri is not there but there's a clue she is on point B, go to point B, ciri is not there but there's a clue she is on point C, go to point C... and all the alphabet... They literally will make you discover all the map looking for Ciri like that...

Also, the controls and movement of Geralt are the worst. I always play all the games on the max difficulty and this one was impossible. Not at all because the enemies were strong. It was because controlling Geralt is the worst.

I played 50% of the main story and I had to do a great effort, but I couldn't bear it more.

I cannot understand how this was nominated as game of the year...
  • Extremelly boring main story
  • Horrible characters controls and movement
The game looks exciting and people told me it's great but i just cant get into it for some reason... it's fine but at a specific point I just dont want to play it anymore. Usually I like combat-heavy story games... but not this one
So i have purchaced withcher 3 but i also wanted the DLC both of them and i have seen that there arent any and since it is only on GOG galaxy i cant even buy the DLC from steam... i will ask my money back and buy it normaly on steam...
  • have original game

Very good Game, unique in its genre and the expansions are based on the decisions u make throughout the game itself. There are different choices possible while u play through the game for various people to play as they want.
story 10/10, gameplay 10/10 , Mechanics 10/10, Charakter 10/10

Definetly worth playing. You can play it to relax a bit, seeing the atmosphere and doing side quest, because you have A LOT of side quest. Maye if you want to achive a 100% run (DLC included) you will need near 300h but in my opinion that is not bad at all.
One of the best Action RPG ever. Great and epic story with detailed characters and beautiful landscapes. The overall gameplay is also very good and the fights are always a joy. The game can be relative easy or extreme hard due the game difficulty settings. The only little problems I can remember was some quest that was quite hard to follow and close.

Just buy and play it, pure joy :D

One word: extraordinary! One of the best sellers ever. A colossal which have come a long from the book and from the other titles of the saga. Long campaign, fantastic places, quests, characters and more, recommended!

This game is awesome and I really recommend you to play this game. There is actually a lot of things you can do in this game. Story is awesome and you can affect on it by choosing different options. Gameplay is nice and enjoyable and there's multiple endings.
Great game, i recommend everyone to buy it. Haven't finished it yet, unfortunately don't have much time to play it, but so far i'm satisfied... Maybe only one thing that annoys me is often dialog, but that's part of the story.... Overall, great game...

Best game ever in my opinion. I'm on my 8th walkthrough and I can't get tired of it expecially after the Netflix series. I'd suggest everyone who loves this kind of game to give it a try and buy it to support the developers as well.
  • 1- The graphic bugs can be fixed with mods, hardwork of amazing fans of the series.
  • 2- Possibility of modding the game even if limited.
  • 3- Amazing open world experience
  • 4- Breathtaking story with some suspance moments
  • 5- Many accurate details, detailed consequences of your choices during quests/main storyline.
  • 1- There are some graphic bugs in the Vanilla version.
The Witcher 3 is without any doubt one of the best games I've ever played. The story, allegedly loyal to the original book series I haven't read, is what really amazed me. The main story line isgreat, but many side quests and optional missions are even better IMO. TW3 often presents you with really difficult moral dilemmas and backstories of strangers which will tug at your heartstrings as a player even though you barely brush over them, and Geralt remains impassible as usual. Some of your choices are not only difficult but also alter the story (there is a canon version, but you can make your own story). This might not be your game if what you seek is constant action, but if you want an organic storytelling, thrilling adventures, and rewarding exploration, hop on Roach and go find the thousands of monsters, treasures, peasants in need of help and bandits waiting out there.

I feel like the music also deserves to be praised as much as the graphics or maybe even more. It does not only fit the times you live in and mood of each moment (battles, riding, social events) but is a masterpiece per se. The graphics show an improvement compared to previous games, and there isn't really anything I can say against them. Mechanically, TW3 is at first challenging, but once you memorize the basics you'll find doging, attacking, casting signs and throwing bombs as easy as riding a bike. Despite of the massive amount of potions and concoctions you brew, and the bestiary you will need if you don't want to spend ten minutes with a strong creep, his could be the only game that makes learning actually fun.

Gameplay-wise, it took me a few hours to get used to all the control and basic stuff you need to memorize (same as most longgames) but once you do you can see it behaves like most MMORPGs in the way you are given quests which you follow in your map and will lead to other quests, except you're on your own here, a lone wolf. Most of the time you will play as Geralt, but sometimes you get to experience what Ciri went through escaping from the Wild Hunt. (I won't lie, I enjoyed being as overpowered as hell as Ciri too.) The major negative point of TW3 is that some quests will lock out others; of course, it wouldn't make sense to accept a quest from someone you just watched die, would it? That and a few bugs.

Overall, a must play. Totally recommended.
  • Amazing story
  • A vast map full of content
  • Wonderful OST
  • Very detailed and realistic worldbuilding
  • Your choices have consequences, and there is no black and white
  • Some quests lock other quests without warning
  • A few minor bugs
  • Rarely getting stuck in places (save often)
Let's start by saying best game ever!!! The game offers many hours to play on quests, side missions card games and etc...The story line is amaziing and the cutscenes are amazing...The graphics also look great!
