Description

In this narrative-driven, third-person survival horror game set 300 years in the future, the player will take on the role of Jacob Lee – a victim of fate thrown into Black Iron Prison, a maximum-security penitentiary located on Jupiter's moon, Callisto. When inmates begin to transform into monstrous creatures, the prison is thrown into chaos. To survive, Jacob must battle his way to safety to escape Black Iron Prison, while uncovering the dark and disturbing secrets buried beneath the surface of Callisto. Using a unique blend of shooting and close-quarters combat, Jacob will need to adapt his tactics to combat the rapidly evolving creatures while scavenging to unlock new weapons, gear, and abilities to outrun the growing threat and escape the horrors of Jupiter's Dead Moon.

HORROR ENGINEERING

The Callisto Protocol is a next-generation take on survival horror from the mind of Glen Schofield. Blending atmosphere, tension, and brutality with terrifying moments of helplessness and humanity, The Callisto Protocol immerses players in a pulse-pounding story where unspeakable horrors lurk around every corner.

UNCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE UNITED JUPITER COMPANY

Set on Jupiter’s dead moon Callisto in the year 2320, The Callisto Protocol casts players as Jacob Lee, an inmate in Black Iron Prison. When a mysterious outbreak throws the moon into chaos, Jacob must face his darkest fears to defeat the bloodthirsty creatures that stalk him as he unravels the dark mysteries at the heart of the powerful United Jupiter Company.

MASTER BRUTAL, STRATEGIC COMBAT

The Callisto Protocol challenges players to master a thrilling blend of hand-to-hand and ranged combat, including a unique gravity weapon once used by Black Iron guards to control the prison population. Players will be forced to get up close and personal with their grotesque opponents, hacking off limbs, blasting off legs, and getting creative with whatever is at their disposal to survive each life-or-death encounter.

EXPERIENCE THE ISOLATION OF JUPITER'S DEAD MOON

One of the most hostile, isolated environments in the universe, Callisto looms large over Jacob’s desperate struggle to survive. Players must not only contend with the horrors of Black Iron Prison, but also the centuries-old secrets that plague Jupiter’s long-dead moon, both above and below the surface.

This game was suppose to be a succesor to dead space but id for sure isnt. Yes the graphics are goos which is to be expected from a AAA title but it doesnt matter since the game is poorly optimized anyway and half the time you are just crawling in vents. It has a very poor storyline and fighting system.

Priced at an incredibly affordable $5, this game is truly a gem. From its stunning graphics to its seamless gameplay performance, every aspect of the experience exceeds expectations. The attention to detail in the visuals is impressive, creating immersive worlds that draw players in from the moment they start playing. Moreover, the smoothness of the gameplay ensures that there are no frustrating interruptions or glitches to detract from the enjoyment. In essence, this game offers an exceptional gaming experience at an unbeatable value, making it a must-have for any gamer looking for quality entertainment without breaking the bank.

If you like sci-fi horror go for it!

Story is engaging enough to hold you for its 10 hour runtime

Bad that the real ending is blocked behind a paywall.

Combat is repetitive and gets frustrating.

Would not really say that its horror, more like mature sci-fi action.

If you want horror, just play Dead Space Remake.

Recommend it if you like the Dead Space world!

Love the thrill of not knowing what is around the next corner
Good to start with but soon got tedious and frustrating.
  • Good story
  • Good graphics
  • Slow, clunky combat
  • No clue where to go half the time, mission markers would be a huge upgrade.
  • Very frustrating, with crazy difficulty spikes (and no, not a skill issue).
The game is good but instalation!!!in steam disk is damaged
Game with a good story and very beautiful graphics and apart from a few annoyingly difficult bosses still good playability, quite important for the lesser gods among us.
I had fun and enjoyed playing The Callisto Protocol. My only feedback is that I felt the overall story to be too short. The campaign is immersive, but the story itself moved too slowly for me. I would have loved traveling to different moons and planets, and not feel bound only to the same place. While I understand that it may have played with the idea that players should feel trapped on a place with no escape, I felt it quite limiting.

  • absolutely none
The game was running fine until i got to a infinite loading screen. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is not the best very linear which doesnt have to be a bad thing but the combat i kinda clunky.

  • performance is rough sometimes
