A platforming puzzle game with witty and dark humor!

I really appreciated the in-game references (TMNT) and the toxic humor "Aren't you a special snowflake" KEKW

I would recommend if ya like puzzle-platformers that escalate in difficulty till the end and a snarky story!

This game is extremely fun and aggravating at the same time. The controls are wonderful and the fighting feels great!

I just don't think I'm that skilled enough to play through an entire map perfectly, take minimum damage and then survive a boss battle at half-health.
Then do it all over again when I die. This game is the epitome of "get good".
That said: all this coupled with the fantastic controls and fluid movement; it's balanced perfectly to challenge the most skilled platforming gamers.
I'd recommend this for those players that want a challenging experience with great controls and movement.

Effie is a blast! It feels like Spyro mixed with Zelda and RiME and it is so much fun to play! You get some light platform puzzles to solve and then you get some really fun combat with enjoyable and easy to execute combos.
Surfing around the open-world on your shield is a very satisfying feeling and it's a great way to get around quickly. I love the graphics, they're very pleasing and voiceover with the story funny.

I only have one little nit-pick and it is I don't think the player should have to hit chests multiple times for it to open - they should just open.

I'd say you should play this game in between finishing Spyro or Super Lucky's Tale and before you start any Zelda game.

This game caught me by complete surprise and captured my heart like nearly everyone else.

I recommend you pay attention to everyone you "listen" to because nearly everything said reveals something or is funny (Zote the Mighty - I love this guy he is hilarious)

Exploring the world they created within this game is a wonderful escape. You could easily sink many many hours into the game and still not run out fo things to do or areas to explore. It's a wonderful escape.
The story is slow revealing. I got the main bit but from the game itself but had to have a conversation with other players to reveal more details and oh my gosh, this story is pretty deep and legendary.
I believe this game is a must-play is you like getting into the story of games and enjoy platformers & boss fights.

I haven't played a REALLY good 2D platform puzzle game in a long time. This is 2.5D for all things considered.

The beautiful world that transitions in the background after you complete a puzzle is very refreshing. The music is good as well reminds me of the type of music you would hear in a Pixar movie.

The game is fantastic. It is worth your time and you will feel rewarded and will want more.

My wife played this one (she is new to games-still terrible at them but having a blast) and I would attempt to help her with puzzle-solving.

What I love about this game is it just throws you right in. It's really easy to restart if you need to stop you just pick up right where you left off. For a 2D game it can be pretty gruesome and shocking but that plays into the ambiguous storyline that is open to your own interpretation (which I personally love attempting to discover the meaning). The puzzles are not overly complicated, but getting the timing right on some parts of the game will start to challenge you towards the end - but that's to be expected as it's been training the whole time - you'll get it. Totally worth it on sale.

This game really caught me and my wife by surprise. We honestly had no idea what it was about going into it. No trailers, no description just started it up and wow. (to be clear: we got it as part of a pack of games)

The game is really deep (emotionally) and THE MUSIC, it is outstanding.

Honestly, we enjoyed the game, my wife is a newer gamer and I basically did backseat gaming with her. The story is about death, and grieving and coming to terms with loss. It's emotional and it's so satisfying for anyone in a relationship because we hear the thoughts from the wife's perspective later on and we were again surprised and excited by that.

If you like your feelings to be jerked and you like to get deep into a story without alot of hard gameplay you should try this game.

Note: The content of this game is probably about 2-4 hours long. So it is a short game, in my opinion, but still profound.

This is a beautiful game and definitely worth playing. Sometimes the game requires some skill in intense situation but that is a small percentage of the gameplay. It reminded me of a light version of Prince of Persia minus the fighting.

The game is pretty short (2-3 hours) depending on how fast you can find the items you need for certain areas. I'd recommend this game for those wanting to explore games that include 3D exploration, light puzzle-solving, light-horror, platform, story-rich.
